The Mater Divinae Gratiae College, Inc. – College Department proudly joined the recently concluded ASEAN Simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony, hosted by Eastern Samar State University and graced by Regional Director Maximo C. Aljibe, carrying the theme:

“Setting Sail for ASEAN 2026: Navigating Our Future, Together.”

ASEAN celebrations in schools provide an opportunity for students and educators to understand the importance of regional unity, cultural diversity, cooperation, peace, and shared progress. Through these activities, we help young people appreciate the Philippines’ role in ASEAN and inspire them to become responsible citizens who contribute to a more connected, inclusive, and peaceful Southeast Asian community.

On July 25, 2026, we had the privilege of welcoming Ma'am Luz Marie Pomarejos, DepEd District 1 Multigrade Coordinator, who served as the Facilitator during our Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session on Multigrade Teaching.

The session provided valuable insights, practical strategies, and innovative approaches that strengthened the knowledge and skills of our teachers in effectively managing multigrade classrooms. Through meaningful discussions, collaborative learning, and the sharing of best practices, participants were empowered to create more engaging, inclusive, and learner-centered learning environments.

We sincerely express our gratitude to Ma'am Luz Marie Pomarejos for generously sharing her expertise, dedication, and passion for improving the quality of education. Your guidance and inspiration have greatly contributed to the professional growth of our teaching force.

𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗬 𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗧 𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗦 | 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥

Today July 23, 2026, MDGCI joyfully celebrates two significant milestones: the Feast of the Mother of Divine Grace ( Mater Divinae Gratiae), our beloved patroness after whom the school is named, and the opening of the new Academic Year 2026-2027. As we begin this new journey, we prayerfully invoke the guidance and wisdom of the Holy Spirit. The Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Fr. John Henrich Palada, our Parish Priest , and was attended by the school's administrators, Sr.Rhia G. Jamandre,SFSC, school Directress , Sr. Adelheid Ose , SFSC , Property and Custodian Officer , Sr. Elsie Peticaros, SFSC, HR and Religious Affairs Officer, faculty, staff, parents and students, united in faith and gratitude as one academic community.

The Holy Spirit Mass served as a meaningful occasion to entrust the entire MDGCI community to God's loving guidance as the school embarks on another year of learning, service, and growth. Through prayers, Scripture, and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, the community sought the wisdom, strength, and grace of the Holy Spirit to inspire every learner, educator, and employee in fulfilling their respective roles with faith, dedication, and excellence.

The celebration also reminded everyone of the importance of living out Christian values, fostering unity, compassion, and integrity within the school community. As the new academic year begins, may the Holy Spirit continue to enlighten our minds, strengthen our hearts, and guide us in every endeavor, leading us toward academic excellence, spiritual formation, and faithful service to God and others.

MDGCI, in partnership with Phoenix Publishing through Global Resources for Assessment, Curriculum, and Evaluation (GRACE), is currently conducting the GRACE Assessment 2026 for learners from Grades 1 to 10.

The GRACE Assessment is an academic evaluation designed to measure students' proficiency in English, Mathematics, and Science using internationally benchmarked standards. It serves as a valuable tool for identifying learning gaps, monitoring academic progress, assessing mastery of essential competencies, and providing data that supports improved teaching and learning.

Today, learners are taking the English and Mathematics pretests, which help determine their readiness and identify areas where additional academic support may be needed.

Aligned with the standards and competencies of the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), the GRACE Assessment reflects MDGCI's commitment to delivering quality education through data-informed instruction and continuous curriculum enhancement.

✨ PARENTS' GENERAL ORIENTATION 2026 ✨

Mater Divinae Gratiae College, Inc. successfully conducted its Parents' General Orientation on June 20, 2026, at the Conference Room, bringing together our dear parents, administrators, faculty, and staff in a meaningful gathering of collaboration and partnership.

The program served as an avenue to introduce our dedicated faculty and staff, present the different offices and services of the institution, and discuss important information that will guide us throughout the Academic Year 2026–2027. The event also strengthened the partnership between the school and our parents, recognizing that education flourishes through shared responsibility and active engagement.

2nd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀

In recent months, the Philippines has experienced several earthquakes that have reminded us of the importance of disaster preparedness. As a country situated along the Pacific Ring of Fire, earthquakes can occur without warning, making it essential for every Filipino—especially students—to know the proper safety procedures during seismic events.

In line with this commitment to safety and preparedness, Mater Divinae Gratiae College, Inc. (MDGCI) successfully conducted its Earthquake Drill on June 18, 2026. The activity aimed to equip students, faculty, and staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond effectively during an earthquake emergency.

Through the practice of the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure, orderly evacuation, and adherence to safety protocols, the MDGCI community demonstrated discipline, cooperation, and readiness in the face of potential disasters.

This drill serves as a reminder that preparedness saves lives. By learning and practicing these essential safety measures, we build a safer and more resilient school community.

Mater Divinae Gratiae College, Inc. proudly served as the venue for the Summer Camp of the Don Bosco Technical Youth and the St. Joachim Parish Youth. This meaningful gathering aimed to empower and form young individuals into future leaders through activities centered on leadership development, teamwork, faith formation, and community service.

The summer camp provided participants with valuable opportunities to strengthen their character, deepen their sense of responsibility, and foster camaraderie rooted in Christian values and servant leadership.

MDGCI remains committed to supporting initiatives that nurture the holistic growth of the youth and inspire them to become compassionate, responsible, and transformative leaders in their communities.
