The Loss I Can Never Deny

My family needs my time, yet the Department of Education demands my attention every single day, even on weekends, as if leadership were a 24/7 calling. This is the daily struggle I carry as a school head. Many cannot understand my situation because they are not in my place; they judge me quickly, branding me as incompetent or selfish toward my loved ones. But they do not feel what I feel, that being a father who cannot give enough time to his children is a profound loss, one that no title or achievement can ever replace.

Still, I endure. Because surrendering my role now would mean surrendering the hope of a brighter tomorrow for my children. My sacrifice today is not for recognition, nor for promotion. I have never measured my worth by rank or position; instead, I choose to work faithfully and wait for God’s perfect plan. For me, leadership is not about climbing ladders, it is about carrying burdens with courage, even when unseen.

The truth is, every moment I miss with my children is a wound I carry silently. Yet I hold on to the belief that the seeds of sacrifice I plant today will bloom into a future where my children will understand that their father’s absence was not neglect, but love expressed in another form, through service, through perseverance, through faith. My journey is not easy, but it is purposeful: for my family, and for the learners entrusted to my care.

Rizal Elementary School Conducts Learner Orientation on Non‑Violence, Respect, and Cultural Heritage

On July 9, 2026, 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM, Rizal Elementary School conducted its Campaign of Non‑Violence in School and orientation for strengthening Project SUBAY and Project KULTURA at the Grade 5 – Aguinaldo Classroom, personally led by School Head Dr. Albert Pagadora. This initiative reflects the Department of Education’s (DepEd) continuing commitment to safe, nurturing, and values‑driven schools, guided by policies such as DepEd Order No. 40, s. 2012 (Child Protection Policy), DepEd Order No. 55, s. 2013 (Student Discipline Guidelines), and Republic Act 11476 (GMRC and Values Education Act).

Dr. Pagadora reminded learners to avoid inappropriate activities including stealing, vandalism, distortion of learning facilities, and damaging school properties. He emphasized the importance of being respectful at all times, practicing the magalang bow, pagmamano, and consistently performing good deeds expected of responsible learners, a reinforcement of RA 11476’s mandate to integrate Good Manners and Right Conduct (GMRC) into daily school life.

The orientation also stressed learner safety, urging children to avoid bringing harmful materials or deadly weapons to school, in line with DepEd Order No. 6, s. 2026 (Ensuring a Safe and Motivating Learning Environment). Dr. Pagadora highlighted that safety is a shared responsibility among learners, teachers, and the community.

Recognizing modern challenges, he addressed the risks of social media and online gaming participation, encouraging learners to limit their involvement and instead rediscover the joy of traditional Filipino games such as tumbang preso, piko, and patintero. This advocacy resonates with DepEd Order No. 22, s. 2025 (Institutionalization of School Sports Clubs), which promotes holistic development and cultural heritage through play and sports.

Finally, Dr. Pagadora highlighted the importance of a safe and clean environment, encouraging learners to show concern for their surroundings through simple acts like picking up garbage and placing it in properly labeled trashcans. This practice reflects DepEd’s integration of environmental stewardship into values formation and community responsibility.

Through this orientation, Rizal ES demonstrated how DepEd directives can be transformed into meaningful, community‑centered practices. By weaving together respect, safety, cultural heritage, and environmental care, the school continues to uphold a culture of peace, resilience, and dignity, ensuring that every learner thrives in a safe and nurturing environment. 🌱

Mula sa Office of the School Head:
Isang paalala na ang tunay na lakas ay nakikita sa ating kahandaan na harapin ang anumang hamon, gaano man ito kabigat o kabigla.

Stay SAFE, RES Family 🫶
