ZNNHS-Turno is the only secondary school in Region 9 that offers the curriculum of the Special Program in Journalism.

Aside from its prestigious institution, ZNNHS-Turno has been producing extravagant and spectacular campus scribes and wordsmiths infused with knowledge of Journalism and dispatch as they take a step to challenge the battle in the wider world of Mass Communication.

Introducing the commendable and inspiring teachers devoted to fostering the skills and talents of every learner in journalism, learners can improve and hone their skills with the tagline "𝗔𝗱 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗮 𝗧𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗼," which cognitively means "𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀."

Grade 7 (Newsvine): Print Journalism
Grade 8 (Scrivener): Print/Online Publication
Grade 9 (Gazetteer): Radio Broadcasting
Grade 10 (Wordsmith): TV Broadcasting

ZNNHS is the pilot implementing school in Region 9 to offer the Special Program in Journalism.

Since 2009, ZNNHS has produced campus scribes, equipped with the knowledge of journalism and communication as they battle and journey the bigger world.

SPJ is developed to enrich the experiences, hone the journalistic skills and competencies of student — writers and broadcasters in order to strengthen free and responsible journalism.

With the highly competent and dedicated teachers devoted to nurture the skills and talents of every learner in journalism, everyone can live up to its tagline " Ad Altiora Tendo" which means " Strive for Higher Things".
