In line with the Department’s continuing commitment to learner rights and protection, all public and private school teaching and non-teaching personnel are highly encouraged to enroll in and complete the Child Protection Self-Paced e-Learning Course for Educators from May 21 to June 21, 2026.

This free and fully asynchronous course aims to deepen our understanding of child protection and learner rights while strengthening our capacity to create safer and more responsive learning environments for every learner.

[CHILD PROTECTION: PERSONAL SAFETY LESSONS TRAINING]

Happening now is the Personal Safety Lessons (PSL) Training of Trainers, where 10 guidance teacher-advocates and counselors from DepEd Dipolog are participating in a comprehensive four-day capacity-building activity. This initiative aims to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and strategies necessary to effectively roll out the program across all Dipolognon schools.

The Personal Safety Lessons program plays a vital role in strengthening child protection efforts within schools and communities. It empowers learners with age-appropriate knowledge and practical skills to recognize unsafe situations, assert personal boundaries, seek trusted help, and report abuse or exploitation. Through proactive education and awareness, PSL helps foster safe, supportive, and protective learning environments where every child’s welfare and dignity are upheld.

In partnership with the Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Child Sexual Abuse (CPTCSA), DepEd Dipolog continues to strengthen and expand its child protection initiatives by enhancing the capacity of educators and guidance personnel to become effective advocates of children’s rights, safety, and well-being. This collaboration reflects the division’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that every learner is protected, informed, and empowered.

These empowered student leaders are set to represent the division in the 3-Day Training on Rights-Based Planning, Ordinance Development, and Child Protection spearheaded by CPTCSA in partnership with DepEd on May 26-28, 2026.

With hearts ready to serve and voices ready to speak up, they will be trained and equipped to champion child protection, advocate for children’s rights, and help strengthen the fight against online violence affecting the youth today.

From classrooms to communities, these young changemakers are stepping forward to represent DepEd Dipolog City in a regional gathering of youth leaders committed to environmental protection, sustainability, and climate action.

[ANNOUNCEMENT: CPTCSA TRAINING]

The Center for the Protection and Treatment of Child Sexual Abuse (CPTCSA), in partnership with DepEd, invites select DFSSLG Presidents to participate in the 3-Day Training on Rights-Based Planning, Ordinance Development, and Child Protection.

This training aims to equip student leaders with protective skills, empower them to speak out on issues affecting children and youth, and strengthen their capacity to actively advocate against online violence and abuse. One of the expected outcomes of this initiative is the development of a proposed citywide ordinance for child protection.
