𝓟𝓢𝓣𝓼 𝓲𝓷 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓕𝓲𝓮𝓵𝓭

Anchored on the Vincentian ideals of Magis, Sapientia, and Cura Personalis, the Teacher Education officially launches the Field Study 2 (FS 2) Deployment of its Fourth-Year Pre-Service Teachers to the Basic Education Campus. This transformative academic undertaking provides authentic school-based experiences that bridge educational theory and classroom practice, preparing future Vincentian educators to become competent, ethical, reflective, and learner-centered professionals.

Implemented in accordance with CHED Memorandum Orders Nos. 74–80 and 82, Series of 2017, and CMO No. 63, Series of 2017 on Local Off-Campus Activities, the deployment likewise responds to EDCOM II Priority Area 17 on Pre-Service Teacher Education, which advocates strengthened clinical practice and experiential learning, while contributing to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, particularly Target 4.c on increasing the supply of qualified teachers.

The deployment of BEED, BSNED, BSEd Mathematics, and BSEd Filipino is spearheaded by Sir Kiervey Manginsay, DHL, MAEd-Eng, LPT, CRS, CSPE, while BPED and BSEd English are spearheaded by Ma'am Deimma Olvis, LPT.

As our Vincentian Pre-Service Teachers embark on this meaningful journey of observation, participation, and professional practice, may they exemplify excellence in teaching, integrity in service, and compassion in forming future generations.

Congratulations to the Teacher Education-English Department on its 5th International Research Publication!

St. Vincent's College Incorporated proudly congratulates Kreselle Mae Abello, Marian Gumalal, Ghe-An Paranguay, Janna Razo, and Jonamarie Vailoces on the successful publication of your research entitled, "The Effectiveness of Collaborative Learning Technique Integration in L2 Learners' Academic Performance," in the Ignatian International Journal for Multidisciplinary Research (IIJMR), Volume 4, Issue 7 (July 2026). Spearheaded by Sir Paul Mike Omandam and Sir Kiervey P. Manginsay, both are published authors and international research referee.

This remarkable achievement marks the 5th international publication of the English Department, reflecting its unwavering commitment to research excellence, innovation, and transformative language education. Today, the Arts, Sciences, and Teacher Education Department(ASTED) of St. Vincent’s College Incorporated proudly joins the nation in commemorating the 128th Philippine Independence Day a celebration of courage, patriotism, and the unwavering Filipino spirit.

As we honor the heroes who fought for our freedom, we also remember the pioneers of Philippine education who helped shape our nation through knowledge and learning. Long before modern classrooms existed, education in the Philippines began through indigenous community teachings and was later formalized during the Spanish era. The first teachers were the missionaries and religious educators who introduced formal schooling, laying the foundation for a system that would eventually empower generations of Filipinos. During the American period, the arrival of the Thomasites in 1901 further transformed Philippine education, bringing modern teaching methods and strengthening the profession that continues to inspire learners today.

At ASTED, we carry forward this noble legacy by nurturing future educators, scientists, communicators, researchers, artists, and leaders who will shape the future of our country. Independence is not only about freedom from colonial rule it is also about empowering minds, pursuing dreams, and creating opportunities through quality education.
