Tutees of the ARAL Summer Program at Sicayab National High School received snacks in a simple distribution activity organized by the school.
The initiative was led by canteen-in-charge, Romelie Suminguit, who ensured that learners were provided with refreshments during the program.
The effort aimed to support and energize the tutees as they participated in their summer learning sessions.

JUST IN | Summer ARAL Program Kicks Off with Inspiring Opening Ceremony
The Summer ARAL Program officially began with a kick-off ceremony held at Sicayab National High School, gathering tutors, learners, and school personnel to mark the start of a meaningful summer learning initiative.
The event commenced with a Flag Raising Ceremony led by ARAL tutor, Cathrini C. Octava, setting a formal and patriotic tone. This was followed by the Welcome Remarks delivered by Maritess G. Adriatico, who expressed enthusiasm for the program and highlighted its role in strengthening learners’ academic skills.
An Introduction of Tutors and Camps was facilitated by Dalla T. Ledio, allowing participants to become acquainted with the mentors who will guide them throughout the program.
To provide direction and clarity, Ronalyan R. Gonzales, ARAL Program Coordinator, presented the Program Goals and Expectations, encouraging learners to stay committed, engaged, and eager to learn.
The ceremony concluded with an Inspiring and Forwarding Message delivered by Dalla T. Ledio, on behalf of School Principal III, Gina O. Regañon, emphasizing the value of perseverance, active participation, and the importance of making the most of the learning opportunity.
The program flow was smoothly facilitated by host Niño Jeff C. M. Benerado, ARAL tutor, ensuring an organized and engaging ceremony.
The successful kick-off signals the beginning of a purposeful journey for learners, aimed at enhancing their knowledge, confidence, and readiness for the upcoming school year.

NEWS | Sicayab NHS Places 4th in Batang Dipag PPOP Dance Idol Finals
Sicayab National High School (SICAYAB NHS) secured 4th place overall in the Batang Dipag PPOP Dance Idol Finals competing against talented dance groups from different schools.
The overall results were: 1st – ZNNHS Main, 2nd – ZNNHS Turno, 3rd – SVCI, 4th – Sicayab NHS, and 5th – Puntan NHS. The SICAYAB NHS dancers impressed the judges with their energetic PPOP-inspired performance and teamwork.

Sicayab NHS Presents STE Program Proposal to the Sangguniang Panglungsod
The administration of Sicayab National High School formally presented its proposal for the implementation of the Science, Technology, and Engineering (STE) Program to the Sangguniang Panglungsod, seeking support through the passage of a resolution.
The proposal was led by School Principal Dr. Gina O. Regañon and Guidance Advocacy Coordinator Dalla T. Ledio, who outlined the objectives, anticipated benefits, and long-term impact of the STE Program on students and the wider school community.
During the presentation, Dr. Regañon emphasized that the STE Program aims to strengthen students’ competencies in science, technology, and engineering, equipping them with advanced knowledge and skills essential for higher education and future careers in STEM-related fields. She underscored the importance of local government support in ensuring the successful implementation and sustainability of the program.
Meanwhile, Ma'am Ledio highlighted the significance of collaboration between the school and the local government in promoting academic excellence and providing expanded opportunities for learners. She expressed optimism that the proposed resolution would pave the way for enhanced educational programs that respond to the evolving demands of the 21st century.
The initiative reflects Sicayab NHS’s continued commitment to delivering quality education and fostering academic innovation for the benefit of its students and the community.

ISPORTS | Ting, Nag- uwi ng Silver para sa Sicayab NHS
Nagpakitang-gilas ang Sicayab NHS matapos masungkit ang 2nd place sa Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (Secondary Level) sa DICAA 2025, isang tagumpay na nagbigay karangalan sa paaralan.
Si Mary Claire A. Ting, Grade 7, nakapagtala ng 95.151 puntos sa apat na apparatus: Vault, Parallel Bar, Balance Beam, at Floor Exercise. Kitang-kita sa bawat galaw niya ang disiplina at pagsisikap, lalo na sa malinis na ex*****on sa beam at lakas ng loob. Sa gabay at suporta ni Ms. Ronelyn R. Canlas na kanyang coach, higit pang napanday ang kanyang performance.
Samantala, nanguna sa DICAA si Kycss T. Paglalunan, Grade 11 ng DMCCFI Unit 5 na may 106.8 puntos, habang pumangatlo si Lovely Mae M. Daguinotas, Grade 12 ng ZNNHS Estaka Unit IV na may 93.15 puntos.
Bilang karagdagan sa tagumpay na ito, qualified rin ang Sicayab NHS para sa nalalapit na ZANDIDAA Meet, kung saan muling sasabak si Ting sa ilalim ng gabay ni Coach Jia May P. Magcanta.

JUST IN | SNHS Secures 2nd Place in DICAA Sepak Takraw Girls Championship
Sicayab National High School (SNHS) proudly clinched Second Place in the DICAA Sepak Takraw Girls Championship, showcasing heart, determination, and undeniable skill throughout the competition. The championship match saw SNHS (North District) face off against the powerhouse team of Zamboanga del Norte National High School (ZNNHS), East District.
Despite the challenging matchup, the SNHS girls delivered a spirited performance, fighting with grit and resilience in every rally. The first set concluded at 15–4 in favor of ZNNHS, followed by another hard-fought second set ending 15–5.
Leading SNHS was Coach Shanelou Redillas, ans representing SNHS with pride were players, Angelica May Deguilmo, Jessyl Napigkit, Ma. Julie Anne S. Aleriosa, Charissa Kris O. Insepidio, and Cherie Mae Napigkit who demonstrated the true spirit of sportsmanship.
ZNNHS’s championship roster, coached by Mayla Vina Garcia, included Dympha M. Samarinta, Alieza Mae P. Betong, Indejoyz S. Austero, Alijandra Opeña, and Queen Narah G. Manlosa, who delivered a strong offensive and defensive game.
SNHS’s second-place finish stands as a remarkable achievement for the Sicayab North District, proving that dedication and perseverance can carry athletes to great heights.

Nagwagi ng 2nd Place ang Sicayab National High School (SNHS) Sepak Takraw Secondary Girls sa katatapos na DICAA Championship, isang tagumpay na nagpatunay sa lakas, puso, at pag-angat ng koponan.
Sa championship match, hinarap ng SNHS (North District) ang koponan ng Zamboanga del Norte National High School (ZNNHS) mula East District. Pinangunahan ang SNHS ng kanilang coach na si Shanee Lou M. Redillas, habang ang ZNNHS naman ay pinamunuan ni Coach Alieza Mae P. Betong.
Bagama’t mahigpit ang naging laban, nagpakita ang SNHS ng matinding determinasyon sa bawat palo at depensa. Nakuha ng ZNNHS ang unang set, 15–4, at sinundan ito ng 15–5 sa ikalawang set. Sa kabila ng pagkatalo, kapansin-pansin ang tapang at disiplina ng mga manlalaro ng SNHS na umani ng paghanga mula sa mga manonood.
Kumatawan sa SNHS ang mga atleta na sina Angelica May Deguilmo, Jessyl Napigkit, Ma. Julie Anne S. Aleriosa, Charissa Kris O. Insepidio, at Cherie Mae Napigkit.
Sa panig ng ZNNHS, bumida naman sina Dympha M. Samarinta, Alieza Mae P. Betong, Indejoyz S. Austero, Alijandra Opeña, at Queen Narah G. Manlosa.
Ang pagsungkit sa 2nd Place ng SNHS ay hindi lamang simpleng panalo kundi ito ay patunay din na kaya ng Sicayab NHS na makipagsabayan sa larangan ng sepak takraw.

Sports | North District Rises Above the Net, Claims DICAA 2025 Sepak Takraw Crown
The North District secured a decisive championship victory in the DICAA 2025 Sepak Takraw Elementary Boys division after outplaying the South District in a thrilling best-of-three finals match.
North District opened the game with strong momentum, capturing the first set at 12-16. South District, however, refused to back down and answered with a solid comeback in the second set, 15–12, intensifying the excitement for the deciding frame. In the do-or-die third set, North regained control with remarkable coordination and unwavering defense, sealing the match with a 10-15 finish.
Representing the North District was the team from Dipolog Pilot Demonstration School under the guidance of Coach Edilberto M. Kipkip. The champion roster included John Carl Piquero, Anthony Justin June Benitez, John Kian Pacuyao, and Seff Hendrik Rudas.
The South District finalists came from Sta. Cruz Elementary School, led by Coach Eileen A. Acaylar, with players Marte Jay Jr. Labiaga, Ronel Mazarate, Angelou Gabriel Pada, and Crisjie Tejeros.
Through their discipline, solid teamwork, and resilient defensive play, the North District was officially crowned as champions—an achievement that brings pride not only to their team, but to the entire district they represent.

Matagumpay na nasungkit ng North District ang kampeonato sa DICAA 2025 Sepak Takraw Elementary Boys matapos talunin ang South District sa kanilang best-of-three championship match.
Malakas ang naging panimula ng North matapos makuha ang unang set, 12-16. Ngunit hindi agad nagpatalo ang South at bumawi sa ikalawang set, 15–12, kaya mas naging nakakakaba ang laban. Sa do-or-die set, muling nagpakita ng lakas at koordinasyon ang North at sinelyuhan ang panalo, 10-15.
Kinatawan ng North District ang Dipolog Pilot Demonstration School sa pamumuno ni Coach Edilberto M. Kipkip, kasama ang mga manlalarong sina John Carl Piquero, Anthony Justin June Benitez, John Kian Pacuyao, at Seff Hendrik Rudas. Mula naman sa South District ang koponang mula sa Sta.
