🚫 NO TO PAX SILICA 🚫
The future of our nation should never be decided without transparency, accountability, and meaningful public consultation.
As Filipinos, we have the right to ask important questions about the proposed Pax Silica project. While supporters believe it could bring investments, jobs, and technological development, many citizens, environmental groups, and civil society organizations have raised concerns about its possible long-term effects on our country. These include:
🌱 Environmental Protection – Concerns have been raised about the project's potential impact on natural resources, water supply, biodiversity, and nearby communities. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) is currently conducting environmental assessments.
💧 Protection of Water Resources – Questions remain about whether large-scale industrial facilities could increase pressure on local water resources. Government agencies have stated that community water needs will remain the priority, but many sectors continue to call for independent monitoring and transparency.
🏞️ Communities and Livelihoods – Residents and advocacy groups have expressed concerns about the possible effects on local communities, farmers, indigenous peoples, and land use if the project proceeds.
🇵🇭 National Sovereignty – Many Filipinos believe that projects involving foreign partnerships must always prioritize Philippine sovereignty, national interests, and the welfare of future generations.
Being critical of a project does not mean rejecting development. It means demanding that development be transparent, sustainable, environmentally responsible, and beneficial to Filipinos first.
📢 Let us stay informed, verify information from credible sources, and encourage open public discussions before decisions that may affect our country's future are made.
Our land. Our resources. Our future. Our voice matters.
