On June 12, 1898, the Philippines declared independence. It was a moment born from sacrifice and the desire to live with dignity.
Today, that same desire is tested by poverty, inequality, disinformation, and injustice. Freedom is not just a page in a history book. It is a daily choice to stay informed, to speak up, and to hold power accountable.
This Araw ng Kalayaan, let us remember: the flag means nothing if we tolerate the same oppression our ancestors fought against.

Though this chapter has come to an end, the memories will remain, the friendships will endure, and the lessons learned will continue to guide us wherever life takes us.
Here's to the moments we'll miss, the memories we'll cherish, and the people we'll never forget.

Education begins with opportunity, and sometimes, the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference.
The JRMSU-K Supreme Student Government conducted a Gift-Giving Activity today, May 31, 2026 for the children of Sitio Tamilocan, Katipunan, Zamboanga del Norte, providing school supplies to support their educational journey and inspire them to pursue their dreams.
This meaningful initiative was led by SSG President Hon. Eunice S. Padao, together with the outgoing SSG President, Hon. Matt Noel O. Largo, embodying a shared commitment to service, compassion, and community development.
As student leaders, we believe that leadership extends beyond the campusโit reaches the communities we serve and the lives we touch.
We extend our grateful hearts to all the JRMSU-K students who made this possible by sharing their blessings.
May these simple gifts serve as reminders to these young learners that their dreams are valid, their education matters, and their future is worth investing in.
Together, we create impact. Together, we build hope. โจ

The outgoing SSG Vice President, Hon. Andrew Lira, who also served as former Student Regent, conducted a Project Procurement Management Plan (PPMP) and Government Procurement Procedures Training on May 28, 2026, for the newly elected SSG officers, particularly the SSG President, Vice President, Governors and Vice Governors, as well as the Budget and Procurement Officers, in preparation for the crafting of the PPMP for Fiscal Year 2027.
The initiative aims to equip the incoming student leaders with the necessary knowledge and skills as they prepare to conduct market scoping, tax mapping, and other budget planning-related activities essential for the preparation and submission of the PPMP 2027.
Having served as a student government officer for four years and as a member of the Board of Regents during the previous academic year, VP Lira shared his experience and expertise in budget preparation and government procurement procedures with the new set of student leaders. He emphasized the importance of transparency in budget drafting and highlighted that studentsโ voices and needs must always be considered in creating an inclusive and responsive budget plan.
This initiative is a testament that at JRMSU Katipunan Campus, student leaders remain proactive in project and budget planning โ a reflection of the campusโ commitment to development-driven leadership and inclusive governance.
