The path from the first line of code to the stars was paved by women who refused to see limits. ๐โจ
To the BSCS students of DCIT, Inc., greatness isn't just about mastering a language; itโs about the vision to see what others canโt.
Ada Lovelace didn't just see a machine; she saw the birth of modern computing before a single circuit was ever built.
Reina Reyes didn't just see data; she used her computational mastery to prove Einstein right, earning the title "The Filipina who confirmed Einsteinโs Theory." At Princeton, she led analysis of 70,000 galaxies to test Einstein's general relativity, confirming predictions on clustering, dark energy, and dark matter; her work involved advanced computational tools like gravitational lensing and data from surveys such as Sloan Digital Sky Survey.
This International Women's Day, remember that you are part of a legacy that spans centuries and reaches across the cosmos. Whether youโre debugging your first project or architecting the next big breakthrough, you are the next chapter of this story.
Donโt just write codeโmake history. ๐ป๐ฅ

This March, DICT Region 9 and BASULTA joins the global community in celebrating As we honor the achievements of women throughout history, we are turning our focus toward the future where technology serves as the ultimate equalizer.
In our region, from Zamboanga Peninsula to the furthest reaches of the Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi islands, the digital divide has historically posed a challenge. But today, we are rewriting that narrative. We believe that digitalization is not just a luxury but a fundamental right. We believe that when a woman is connected to the internet, she is connected to a world of endless possibilities.
This International Women's Day, let us commemorate the women who have broken glass ceilings, dismantled gender stereotypes, and paved the way for the girls who will lead the digital tomorrow. Letโs continue to push for a world where technology is a tool for equality, and where every Filipina is empowered to reach her full potential.
