After all the practices, pressure and countless times of saying, "𝙆𝙖𝙮𝙖 𝙥𝙖!"— we finally made it to the podium. Our fusion may have finished as 1st Runner Up but the spirit, pride, and camaraderie we showed throughout this journey make us winners in every sense of the word. This achievement is not simply a place on the podium nor a mere trophy—it is the fruit of the sacrifices, sleepless preparations, and unwavering teamwork that brought us this far.

To everyone who became part of this spectacular journey—our performers, athletes, coaches, leaders, advisers, and every individual who contributed in big or small ways, 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮. Thank you for supporting the ASTECH community.

A new identity begins as the Arts, Sciences, and Teacher Education Department (ASTED), Computer Studies Department (CSD), and Computer Engineering Department (CPED) come together for the first time as the ASTECH Fusion for VinFeTa '26.

On July 25, 2026, students from the three departments gathered for the VinFeTa '26 Departmental General Assembly, officially introducing the direction of the newly formed fusion and preparing students for the upcoming VinFeTa 2026.

The assembly presented the different activities and competition categories where students can showcase their skills and represent ASTECH, including Academic, Literary, Musical, E-Games, and Sports events. It also opened opportunities for students to take part, share their talents, and become representatives of this new fusion.

Beyond the competitions, this gathering marked the beginning of a new partnership among three departments with different strengths and experiences, now united under one name.

ASTECH Fusion is more than a name. It represents the collaboration, talents, and collective efforts of ASTED, CSD, and CPED as they take their first step together toward VinFeTa '26. 💜

As the Orientation Seminar (OrSem) 2026 draws closer, the fusion of the Computer Studies Department (CSD) and the Computer Engineering Department (CpED) gears up for the highly anticipated event. An annual tradition at St. Vincent's College Incorporated, OrSem welcomes freshmen through a variety of competitions and activities designed to introduce them to the Vincentian community.

In preparation for the three-day event, the fusion held a meeting on Thursday, June 25, 2026, spearheaded by the departments' council officers. Present during the meeting were the governors of both departments, Angelo Gabriel Cambalon of CSD and Vince Jolo of CpED. Discussions focused on the competitions to be held during OrSem 2026, while officers also encouraged freshmen to participate and facilitated the registration of participants.

More than a series of competitions, OrSem serves as an opportunity for freshmen to build connections and develop a sense of belonging within the community. As students prepare to represent their departments and showcase their school spirit, Vincentians can look forward to seeing what the CSD-CpED fusion brings to the table.
