ISUFST–Di**le Campus marked another milestone as Dr. Elaine H. Anzures and Dr. Irene D. Suganob presented their research at the 2025 Nexus Summit, an international platform integrating science, culture, and innovation for sustainable development.

The 2025 Nexus Summit features four breakout sessions: Life Sciences, Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food; Applied Sciences, Engineering, and Technology; Teacher Education and Human Kinetics; and Future Thinking towards Sustainable Development.

Dr. Suganob was awarded as Best Paper in the Breakout Session 3:Teacher Education and Human Kinetics, with a study titled “Statiskool: Development and Evaluation of Research in Education Module for Enhanced Student Engagement and Understanding .”

The said summit was held from December 2-4, 2025, at Cagayan State University- Andrews, which gathered representatives from numerous State Universities and Colleges across the Philippines alongside distinguished speakers and delegates from Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Thailand, and Taiwan.

ISUFST ON THE BOARD!!!

Amidst Western Visayas' 36th Statistics Month, the Inter-University Chess Competition unfolded. ISUFST sent three delegates: Franz Miguel De La Peña and Rodrigo Labayno from Dumangas Campus, and Rica Mae T. Viray from Di**le Campus.

Franz Miguel De La Peña dominated Board 3, securing 1st place. Rica Mae T. Viray, on Board 1, won two of her five games against tough opponents. Rodrigo Labayno also won 1 out of 5 games in Board 2.

While ISUFST didn't win overall, the team showcased their talent and strategic prowess. The competition celebrated intellect and sportsmanship, showcasing the skills of students from across the region.

Breaking new ground in educational research, Dr. Elaine H. Anzures of the College of Education, ISUFST Di**le Campus, earned double recognition at the "2nd International Research Conference on Education 2025 (IRCE2025)" held on July 27, 2025.

Presenting her study via "Google Meet" she captured both the "Best Presenter" and "Best Abstract" awards for her paper, “Transforming Mathematics Learning Outcomes through Concrete‑Pictorial‑Abstract Approach: Basis for an Extension Project.”

Her work not only advances innovative strategies in mathematics education but also showcases ISUFST’s growing impact in global research. Dr. Anzures’ success stands as proof that meaningful scholarship transcends distance and continues to inspire educators everywhere.
