DROP, COVER, and HOLD! 🚨

Today, 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟏𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 at exactly 3:30 PM, the students, teachers, and staff of 𝙋𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙜𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙃𝙞𝙜𝙝 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 actively participated in the 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥.This activity reminded everyone that being prepared during emergencies is very important. During the drill, we practiced the proper safety procedures and learned how to stay calm, alert, and responsible in case a real earthquake happens.

The earthquake drill is not just a simple school activity. It helps us understand the importance of quick thinking, cooperation, and discipline during unexpected situations. By practicing the “Drop, Cover, and Hold” technique, we are learning how to protect ourselves and the people around us. Every student and teacher worked together to follow the instructions and ensure that the drill was done properly and safely.

This experience also reminded us that preparation can save lives. Through activities like this, our school continues to promote awareness, readiness, and safety among the whole school community. It shows that when we work together and stay prepared, we can face emergencies with confidence and responsibility.

A big appreciation to everyone who participated and cooperated during the drill. Your participation shows that we value safety and care for one another. Let’s continue to stay alert, responsible, and prepared for any situation.

Inspired by the need to stay safe and responsible, knowing what to do 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞, 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐧 is essential in building a prepared and resilient community. Typhoons are unavoidable, but the impact can be reduced through awareness, discipline, and collective action.

𝘽𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙮𝙥𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙣, preparation is the priority. Staying updated with weather advisories, preparing emergency kits, securing loose items, and charging devices help ensure readiness. Early preparation reduces panic and prevents unnecessary risks.

𝘿𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙮𝙥𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙣 safety should always come first. Staying indoors, avoiding flooded areas, following official instructions, and conserving power and water are critical actions. Being calm and alert helps protect lives and supports emergency efforts.

𝘼𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙮𝙥𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙣, recovery begins with responsibility. Cleaning surroundings properly, checking on family and neighbors, reporting hazards, and supporting community clean-up efforts help restore safety and normalcy. Responsible waste disposal also prevents further environmental damage.

Inspired by 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐲𝐚, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐚, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐄𝐧𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚, Project DaLena came to life as a symbol of youth leadership, environmental responsibility, and collective action. What started as inspiration from legend turned into real-life heroism through a unified clean-up drive participated by various school clubs and the 𝘽𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙀𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙢 (𝘽𝙀𝙍𝙏).
𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐋𝐞𝐧𝐚 was conducted by the 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙚 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙧 𝙂𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 (𝙎𝙎𝙇𝙂), highlighting the vital role of student governance in leading environmental and community-centered initiatives.
Held on December 13, 2025, just before the RSCC, this initiative proved that protecting the environment is not just a role for mythical guardians—it is a responsibility we carry today. With every piece of waste collected and every area restored, students became modern-day protectors of the land and water, standing up for sustainability, discipline, and care for nature. 🌱♻️🌊
On the same meaningful day, BERT also reached out to the community through an outreach program, showing that empowerment goes beyond advocacy—it extends to service, compassion, and action. This dual effort reflected the true spirit of resilience: serving people while safeguarding the planet.
This initiative also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly 𝐒𝐃𝐆 𝟔: 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐒𝐃𝐆 𝟏𝟏: 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐒𝐃𝐆 𝟏𝟑: 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐃𝐆 𝟏𝟓: 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝, reinforcing the youth’s commitment to sustainable development and environmental stewardship.

On 𝘿𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 13, 2025 (𝙎𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙙𝙖𝙮), 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 1:30 𝙉.𝙃. 𝙩𝙤 4:30 𝙉.𝙃.,the spirit of compassion, service, and shared sacrifice was deeply felt at the 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 (𝐑𝐒𝐂𝐂) 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨 𝐒𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐜𝐨, 𝐋𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐨, 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚. This outreach program showcased how simple acts of discipline saving a portion of one’s daily allowance can be transformed into meaningful assistance and genuine hope for children in need.
The 𝐎𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐍 𝐓𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 served as a powerful reminder that generosity does not always begin with abundance, but with intention and empathy. Through collective effort, students turned small savings into acts of kindness, reinforcing the value of social responsibility and the importance of extending help to the less fortunate.

“Prepared minds save lives — and a united community protects its future.”
Pagalanggang National High School proudly conducted Project RESCUE on December 10, 2025 — a full-day training that empowered students and school personnel with vital skills in Disaster Preparedness, Basic Life Support, Bandaging, and Psychological Readiness. Held at the PNHS Covered Court, the event was organized by the BERT Club Officers led by President Hannah Salinas, with strong support from the SSLG, school clubs, classroom presidents, and advisers.

The program opened with the leadership of Sir Edgardo Jesus S. Basa II, Principal II, and Sir Melvin C. Payumo, BERT/MAPEH Adviser, who introduced the dedicated team from MDRRMO Dinalupihan:

Their sessions equipped participants with hands-on CPR drills, hazard response techniques, and proper bandaging procedures.
To strengthen emotional readiness, Sir Ervin Manalang and Ma’am Guilda De Guzman delivered insightful psychological sessions that emphasized staying calm, focused, and resilient in times of crisis.
This initiative upholds key Sustainable Development Goals:

✨ SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities & Communities
✨ SDG 13 – Climate Action

On Dec 2, 2025, 102 amazing students leveled up their health game at the Adolescent Health Awareness Activity! 🩺💪
Shoutout to Ma’am Sandra Encinada of (RHU V) for dropping knowledge on HIV & AIDS + Teenage Pregnancy and Ma’am Ana Katrina Aquino of (DOH) for breaking down real youth mental health issues we face today. Big ups to Kuya Marvin Maniego & Kuya Jhon Erron Macam for hyping up the Tobacco-Free Generation and teaching everyone how to live healthier.
Your girl Hannah Salinas, BERT President of Pagalanggang National High School, got to introduce the speakers and assist on the whole event as part of her immersion training—talk about learning while leading! 🎤✨

On November 21, 2025 various clubs of Pagalanggang National High School participated on the Gawad Paghubog and our BERT President Hannah Salinas reigned as the Champion in the MOST OUTSTANDING STUDENT LEADER
(FOR GAWAD PAGHUBOG).

Do not be proud of your shining; the moon is only bright because it reflects the sun. An African proverbs that Pres Hannah instilled in her mind.

She meant was don't be arrogant about your success, most of what you achieved came from the people who helped you, the opportunity given to you must be treasured and even the guidance you received, accept criticism with Integrity and positivity. Your shine isn't only yours- It is also the result and success of the people behind you, the people who supported you.

You shine? Yes, YOU DO! But behind those spotlights many people and moments helped you shine, so include them on that Spotlight with you.
