TESDA at 32: Husay. Tibay. Tagumpay. 🇵🇭🎉

On August 25, 1994, Republic Act No. 7796, or the TESDA Act of 1994, was signed into law, marking the beginning of TESDA’s journey in bringing quality technical-vocational education and training closer to our kababayans.

For 32 years, we have seen how skills can open doors, create opportunities, and help our kababayans build better lives. With the theme “Husay, Tibay, Tagumpay,” we celebrate every learner, worker, and Filipino who continues to improve their skills, face challenges with determination, and work toward success.

Sa bawat Pilipinong nagsisikap, natututo, at nangangarap, patuloy nating pinatutunayan na kayang-kaya nating harapin ang mga hamon, paghusayin ang ating kakayahan, at abutin ang tagumpay.

TVET is a pathway to more opportunities🛠️💻👩🏻‍🍳🎓

For TESDA Secretary Kiko Benitez, technical vocational education and training (TVET) is not simply about earning a certificate; it is about giving Filipinos practical skills, accessible training, and pathways that can lead to better opportunities.

At the same time, TESDA is strengthening lifelong learning pathways through various programs such as the TESDA Skills Passport, One Education, Early Childhood Care and Development training, among others, helping learners curate their own learning journey and access training opportunities.

And because TVET is practice-based, Sec. Kiko emphasizes that skills are developed not by simply watching, but by actually doing, practicing, and applying what you learn.

Dahil sa TESDA, ang kasanayan ay hindi lamang natututunan, ito ay isinasabuhay, pinauunlad, at ginagawang daan tungo sa trabaho at mas magandang kinabukasan.

You may be randomly selected to participate in the 2026 Study on the Employability of TVET Graduates (SETG), an annual tracer study that helps TESDA assess the employment status and experiences of TVET graduates.
