Leave a Nest Philippines is proud to announce the five recipient teams selected for full participation support in this year’s Ki Ni Naru Project 2026-2027.

The Ki Ni Naru Project is a 5-month research training program that helps high school students turn the things that make them curious into questions they can investigate through science.

This year’s scholar teams are:

Puerto Princesa City National Science High School
Oceans, coral reefs, and marine life

Jose C. Payumo Jr. Memorial High School
Habagat, heavy rainfall, and flooding

San Pablo City Science Integrated High School
Technology-driven agriculture and space science

Muntinlupa Science High School
Astrophysics

Tanza National Comprehensive High School
Vector-borne diseases and epidemiology

Under this year’s theme, “The World You Can’t See,” these 25 student explorers will begin a research journey of observation, experimentation, mentorship, and discovery.

Congratulations to our young researchers from Grade 10 STE for their Second Place finish in the 5𝒕𝒉 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑬𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑭𝒂𝒊𝒓 2026, held last February 7–8 at the Great Eastern Hotel, Quezon City.
Their award-winning research, 𝐀𝐐𝐔𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒: An AI-Driven Computational Framework for Real-Time Microplastic Detection and Quantification Using Low-Cost Optical Imaging, stood out among 366 research entries from all over the Philippines, placing JCP among the best.
