𝗠𝗦𝗨-𝗠𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗜𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗶𝘄𝗮𝗻

Mindanao State University–Maguindanao proudly participated in the 𝗔𝗜𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗣 (Association Internationale des Écoles Supérieures d'Éducation Physique) World Congress 2026, held on June 15–19, 2026, at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), Taipei, Taiwan.

With the theme “𝘋𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘶𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘒𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘭𝘦𝘥𝘨𝘦 𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘴 𝘊𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘴,” the 2026 AIESEP World Congress highlighted the importance of intercultural and transcultural dialogue in the fields of health, physical education, physical activity, and sport. The congress brought together researchers, educators, practitioners, and policymakers from around the world to exchange cutting-edge research, share innovative practices, and foster meaningful discussions that advance inclusive, collaborative, and forward-thinking approaches in higher education.

Representing MSU–Maguindanao, 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝘁. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗱𝗶 𝗜. 𝗛𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗻 of the College of Arts and Sciences – Sports, Physical Education and Recreation Department attended the congress and presented his research entitled, “𝘌𝘹𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴, 𝘈𝘯𝘹𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘋𝘦𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘍𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘰 𝘏𝘪𝘨𝘩 𝘚𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘦 𝘈𝘵𝘩𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘴: 𝘈 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘺.”

The study highlights the urgent need for evidence-based psychological interventions, including stress management programs, mental health awareness initiatives, and coach-led support systems to address the psychological challenges experienced by student-athletes. These interventions are essential in promoting mental well-being, enhancing academic performance, improving athletic achievement, and supporting the holistic development of learners.

MSU - Maguindanao's participation in this prestigious international congress reaffirms the University's commitment to advancing impactful research and strengthening international academic collaboration. Under the leadership of Chancellor Bai Hejira Sinsuat Macalandong-Limbona, the University continues to foster a culture of research excellence, innovation, and global engagement in pursuit of academic and societal advancement.

𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙀𝙭𝙘𝙚𝙡: 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙪𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘿𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙇𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙮 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢

Building on the momentum of the successful Microsoft Word session, the IT Department advanced its extension project, "Teachers’/Asatidz Capability Training on Basic Productivity and Online Teaching Tools: A Post-Implementation Project." The team hosted another engaging two-day capability-building session on June 25–26, 2026, at the IT Building, MSU–Maguindanao, under the university's CARES Program.

During this session, teachers and Asatidz were introduced to Microsoft Excel and gained practical spreadsheet skills through engaging, hands-on activities. They delved into key features like data organization, spreadsheet formatting, basic formulas and functions, and streamlined table management, all essential for preparing grading sheets.

Mindanao State University–Maguindanao officially launched Bangsamoro HerStory: Life Stories of Bangsamoro Women in Transformation and the Women, Peace and Security Agenda on June 30, 2026, that gathered story-holders, partners, government representatives, researchers, writers, and the women whose stories form the heart of the book.

This book documents the lived experiences of eleven Bangsamoro women whose journeys reflect resilience, leadership, service, and hope amid conflict and transformation. Developed in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Government of the United Kingdom, the publication serves as a contribution to advancing the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Agenda while preserving narratives that have long remained underrepresented in history.

Mindanao State University–Maguindanao officially launched Bangsamoro Herstory: Life Stories of Bangsamoro Women in Transformation and the Women, Peace and Security Agenda, a tribute to the women whose courage, leadership, and dedication have shaped communities and strengthened the foundations of peace.

Their stories now form part of a legacy that will continue to inspire generations to come.

Story Book na Tampok ang Kababaihan, Inilunsad ng MSU-Maguindanao

Inilunsad ang isang story book na naglalaman ng mga kuwento at karanasan ng mga kababaihan sa Mindananao State University -Maguindanao sa pangunguna ng Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation and Sustainable Engagement sa pakikipagtulungan ng United Nations Development Programme at sa suporta ng University of the Philippines.

Sinabi sa DXMY ni MSU-Maguindanao Chancellor Dr. Bai Hejira Nefertiti Limbona na pamagat sa nasabing libro ang Bangsamoro Herstory Project na layuning ibahagi sa mga current at future generation ang hirap at hinagpis na pinagdaanan noon ng mga kababaihan sa kasagsagan ng pakikibaka ng mga bangsamoro.

Dagdag pa nya na dumaan sa mga workshop at kinakailangang proseso ang 11 mga kalahok upang matiyak ang kanilang kaligtasan at maibahagi ang kanilang mga kuwento sa paraang komportable para sa kanila.

The book brings together the life stories of remarkable Bangsamoro women from diverse backgrounds: educators, peace advocates, public servants, community leaders, professionals, mothers, and student whose journeys reflect resilience, leadership, faith, and transformation. Their stories reveal that peace is not built only through negotiations and policies, but also through everyday acts of courage, service, compassion, and hope.

𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘿𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙨 𝘼𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘼𝙨𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙙𝙯

The IT Department commenced its extension project, "Teachers’/Asatidz Capability Training on Basic Productivity and Online Teaching Tools: A Post-Implementation Project", by conducting its first 2-day training held on June 18–19, 2026, at the university's IT Building. Under the university's flagship CARES Program, the event brought together teachers and Asatidz from Madrasah Sirajuddin Al-Islamie, Inc. and Madrasatul Rahmanie, Inc., marking the formal start of a long-term community outreach effort. This project aims to strengthen teachers and Asatidz practical ICT skills to enhance classroom instruction, streamline administrative work, and support professional development.

During the two-day training, participants focused on Microsoft Word, with hands-on workshops to further develop their skills in preparing instructional materials, lesson plans, and administrative documents. As the program continues over the coming weeks, upcoming training sessions will introduce additional ICT tools to enable participants to broaden their digital skills and apply them to their daily tasks.

The successful implementation of the two- day activity was made possible through the continued support of Chancellor Bai Hejira Nefertiti M. Limbona, the guidance of the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation, and Sustainable Global Engagement (OVCRISE), and the Office of the Member of Parliament Abdulbasit R. Benito, MPSA, for its extended support during the two-day training activity, including the provision of participants' food. The Department also extends its gratitude to the administrators, teachers, and Asatidz from Madrasah Sirajuddin Al-Islamie, Inc. and Madrasatul Rahmanie, Inc. for their active participation and commitment throughout the activity.

This extension project reflects the University's commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) by strengthening the digital skills of teachers and Asatidz, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering collaboration among the University, partner Madrasahs, and community stakeholders.

𝗢𝗡𝗘𝗠𝗦𝗨 | The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation, and Sustainable Global Engagements (OVCRISE) successfully convened Workshop on SDG Evidence Documentation, Compliance, and Sustainability Reporting for MSU-Maguindanao in preparation for the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings on June 15–16, 2026 at the MSU-Maguindanao Training Center, Dalican, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte.

The workshop brought together university officials, directors, coordinators, and THE core team to strengthen institutional capacity in documenting and reporting initiatives aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the requirements of international impact ranking frameworks.

Participants engaged in sessions on understanding impact ranking methodologies, evidence requirements and documentation standards, sustainability reporting, and SDG narrative development.

Mr. 𝗔𝗹-𝗞𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗵𝗺𝗲 𝗦. 𝗔𝗯𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺, Director of the Office of Quality Assurance Management and Development of MSU-TCTO, served as the resource speaker, whose expertise in quality assurance, compliance, accreditation, and sustainability reporting provided valuable guidance in improving the University's readiness for global impact assessment and recognition.

This initiative reflects MSU - Maguindanao's continuing commitment to excellence, accountability, and sustainable development through evidence-based reporting and institutional engagement. The University also recognizes the unwavering support of Chancellor Bai Hejira Sinsuat Macalandong-Limbona, whose vision and commitment to sustainable global engagements continue to drive initiatives that position MSU-Maguindanao as a responsive and globally competitive institution.

Through collaborative efforts and strategic capacity-building activities such as this workshop, MSU-Maguindanao remains committed to fostering a culture of quality, sustainability, and global engagement in service of its stakeholders and the broader community.
