Mindanao State University-Maguindanao is offering a SPECIAL 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 (𝗖𝗘𝗧) on 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰.

𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐈𝐋𝐒𝐇𝐒 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬 (𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐒)

Five (5) faculty members from the Integrated Laboratory Science High School (ILSHS) of MSU–Maguindanao actively participated and presented their respective research papers at the 7th International Conference on Asian and Philippines Studies (ICAPS), hosted by De La Salle University–Manila. The conference convened at 456 Hotel Le Grande in Baguio City from May 30 to June 1, 2024.

The faculty members presented research works exploring into Language, Literature, and Culture, to the participating research enthusiasts across the nation. Director Sadat G. Blah and Prof. Ruben I. Tilican presented a paper titled "Ka’agan Traditional Marriage and Marriage Under PD 1083: A Comparative Study," while Prof. Norhana P. Maguid shared insights in a paper titled "The Perception of Muslims in Maguindanao About RA 11596." Additionally, Mr. Najeb A. Goro offered his perspectives in a paper titled "Swardspeak ng mga Netizen sa Social Media Platform," and Mr. Jihad A. Pelmin contributed with "ASEAN Literature: A Reading Comprehension Workbook for Grade 8 Students."

This participation was strongly supported by MSU–Maguindanao Chancellor Bai Hejira Nefertiti M. Limbona, through the facilitation of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension, Dr. Raquel S. Arenas.

Aside from their research findings, the faculty members also shared their Maguindanaon culture, talents, and narratives. This was exemplified through an excerpt of the one-act play "Ang Kapit sa Mapayapang Bukas," written by Mr. Pelmin, during the conference's Socials Night, where attendees were moved and applauded the performance. Moreover, the MSU – Maguindanao delegation garnered recognition as the "Farthest Delegation" among the attendees.

This endeavor underscores the department’s unwavering commitment to advancing research initiatives and contributing to the evolving landscape of social science research as part of the University’s mission.

ILSHS | MSU-Maguindanao Integrated Laboratory Science High School Holds First Quarter Honors Convocation and Card Day

On November 17, 2023, the University Gymnasium at MSU-Maguindanao buzzed with pride as the Integrated Laboratory Science High School (ILSHS) conducted its First Quarter Honors Convocation and Card Day. The event, scheduled from 8:00 to 11:00 am, was attended by a dedicated assembly comprising teachers, staff, parents, and students. Distinguished guests included Madam Angelita T. Datucan, Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance, and Datu Joharie B. Nilong, Special Assistant to the Office of Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, representing Dr. Marissa N. Parcon, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.

The program commenced with opening remarks from Prof. Analie A. Tabulong, Assistant Director for Academics, who warmly congratulated the honors students for their exceptional efforts and dedication.

Madam Angelita T. Datucan, in her inspiring message, conveyed a motivational perspective on education, recognizing its challenges while emphasizing its essential role in expanding knowledge beyond the confines of one's home. She encouraged students by citing academic successes and urged parents to provide unwavering support, emphasizing that education is a lifelong journey. Madam Datucan challenged students not to be complacent but to strive for continuous improvement, carrying with them the values instilled by education and teachers. Her message resonated with a call for resilience, dedication, and a commitment to personal growth throughout life's educational journey.

Prof. Sadat G. Blah, the Director of ILSHS, then presented the new academic policy, shedding light on the school's commitment to continuous improvement and excellence.

The event's highlight featured the awarding of certificates of recognition for the honors students of Junior High School (Grade 7-10), with class advisers assisted by Prof. Sadat G. Blah, Madam Angelita T. Datucan, and Datu Joharie A. Nilong honoring deserving students.

An intermission number, showcasing a broadcast and dance performance by selected Senior High School students, added a cultural and creative touch to the program. Following the intermission, certificates of recognition for honors students of Senior High School (Grade 11-12) were awarded, once again with the assistance of notable individuals, acknowledging the achievements of students.

Furthermore, the ILSHS is extending gratitude to the PTCA officers for initiating the acquisition of televisions for the ILSHS classrooms, enhancing the learning experience for all students.
The event concluded with closing remarks from Datu Joharie B. Nilong, emphasizing that the significance lies not only in achieving academic milestones but also in cherishing the process of learning.

The First Quarter Honors Convocation and Card Day at MSU-Maguindanao ILSHS were not just a ceremony; it was a testament to the dedication of the school, its educators, and the parents to shape the future leaders of tomorrow.

Please be informed of the following schedule for October 30 to November 3, 2023.

In accordance with Proclamation No. 42, S. 2022, declaring the regular holidays and special (non-working) days for the year 2023 and following Memorandum Circular No. 38 issued by the Office of the President of the Philippines, with the aim of ensuring that government employees can observe All Saints' Day on November 1, 2023, while also facilitating their travel within the country, a work-from-home arrangement will be instituted in government offices, and public schools will conduct asynchronous classes on October 31, 2023.

October 30: No classes due to Election Day.
October 31: Asynchronous Classes
November 1: All Saints' Day
November 2: All Souls' Day
November 3: Regular Classes

However, 𝐀𝐋𝐋 scheduled activities, including tryouts for MSUSAA, makeup classes, and review sessions, will proceed as scheduled.
