Eligible to participate:
✅ Identify as young women in leadership positions, universities or colleges, youth organizations, volunteer groups, or other organizations;
✅ Between 18 to 25 years old;
✅ Interested in running for office or pursuing a career in politics;
✅ Currently residing in Butuan City

Who can apply?
✅ Identifies as a man and serves in the 1st District of La Union as either an elected local government official or a civil servant in a leadership position
✅ Shows genuine commitment to advancing the leadership of young women in the district
✅ Available to attend and actively participate for the full duration of the training
✅ Willing to design and implement a project aligned with the program's objectives after the training

🍃🌸 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩.

Course 1 of the Angat Bayi: Feminist Leaders Fellowship for Nature-based Solutions (AB FLF4NbS) successfully brought together 23 women leaders from across the Philippines. Throughout the course, fellows strengthened their capacities in feminist leadership, gender-responsive nature-based solutions, and environmental governance through collaborative learning and knowledge exchange.

💫 Representing diverse communities and sectors, the fellows begin a shared journey of advancing inclusive climate action and leading transformative change in their respective communities.

👥 This Fellowship is a collaboration between Forest Foundation Philippines and Bayi, Inc., through the Philippines-Canada Partnership on Nature-based Solutions (NbS) for Climate Adaptation (PCP4NbS), with the support of the Government of Canada.

This important question took center stage at the Kwentuhan (Fireside Chat) during Forest Foundation Philippines' 𝗨𝗦𝗕𝗢𝗡𝗚: 𝗔 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 ( ), where our 𝗖𝗼-𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿, Aella Potestades, moderated a dynamic conversation on "𝘚𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺-𝘐𝘯𝘤𝘭𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘎𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳-𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦-𝘣𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘚𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 (𝘕𝘣𝘚)."

Bringing together advocates and practitioners, the session unpacked why women's leadership matters in Natural Resource Management and climate action, the barriers that continue to limit participation, and the actions needed to create more inclusive and resilient communities through Nature-based Solutions.
