Mga Pangarap ni Seph (Jojoโs Dream Quest) is a childrenโs book series written by Dr. Mylene G. Cayetano, faculty member of the Institute of Environmental Science and Meteorology (IESM). The series is inspired by a deep gratitude for the life of Joseph Cayetano.
Through storytelling, the books introduce young readers to environmental awareness and care for nature, particularly around the topic of anyong tubig (bodies of water).
The series has three volumes:
1. Ridge to River (Mula Gulod hanggang Ilog) โ launched on December 5, 2025
2. Importance of Actions to the Environment โ to be launched on January 26, 2026
3. Fulfilled (Tupad) โ to be launched on March 9, 2026
A limited number of copies are currently available for purchase, with net proceeds supporting the Joseph M. Cayetano Catalyst for Outstanding Developers and Engineers Scholarship. Those interested in getting a copy may send a private message to the author. The original post with more details will be linked in the comments.

Last November 15, 2025, the UP ESMS joined hands with the Local Government Unit of Barangay San Dionisio for the ๐๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ถ๐๐ ๐๐ป๐ต๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ป๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐น ๐ช๐ผ๐ฟ๐ธ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ณ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐ผ๐น๐ถ๐ฑ ๐ช๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐ ๐๐น๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ป๐น๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ ๐ข๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ held from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Barangay Hall Conference Room of Brgy. San Dionisio, Paraรฑaque.
The program brought together street sweepers, sanitation personnel, and barangay environmental staff for a series of discussions on RA 9003, waste reduction strategies, and community-based environmental initiatives that aimed at strengthening the knowledge and competencies of those working at the frontlines of local environmental management.
Two ESMS Officers served as volunteer speakers for the training:
๐ป ๐๐ผ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฆ๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฏ๐ถ๐ผ, UP ESMS President, facilitated Session 2: RA 9003 and Barangay Responsibilities in Solid Waste Management.
๐ป๐ฅ๐ต๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ด๐๐ฑ, UP ESMS Vice President for Partnership, led Session 4: Community-Based Environmental Protection and Sustainability Actions.
This collaboration not only reflects the UP ESMS's commitment to environmental learning and community engagement, but also provides a meaningful space for UP IESM students to bring their classroom knowledge into real-world application. By working closely with barangay environmental workers, the students were able to better understand on-the-ground challenges in waste management and actively contribute to strengthening sustainable and effective waste practices, thus supporting both community well-being and the environment.
We extend our appreciation to the Barangay San Dionisio Solid Waste and Environmental Sanitation Office and its Barangay Officials for the opportunity to contribute to this meaningful initiative.
Together, we empower community-centered environmental stewardship. ๐๐
