The Last Straw Philippines A community-driven campaign to reduce plastic straw use in the Philippines

The Last Straw Katipunan is a PEMSEA-funded project whose goal is to reduce the amount of straws disposed by restaurants and residents of the Loyola Heights Area, through community empowerment and education rather than rash legislation and abrupt decisions. We do it through community information-education campaign as well as a forum called the meet-up where we gather businesses to do the switch. I

t is then followed with monitoring and careful evaluation of it’s impact and how it can be further improved.
