Today, we remember Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr., a Filipino leader whose courage, conviction, and unwavering love for the country left an enduring mark on Philippine history.

Ninoy stood firmly for democracy, freedom, and the Filipino people, choosing to stand by his principles despite the challenges he faced. His life reminds us that patriotism is not simply spoken but it is shown through courage, sacrifice, and a genuine commitment to the nation.

As we commemorate Ninoy Aquino Day, may we continue to remember the ideals he fought for and the Filipino people he believed were worth serving. His words, “The Filipino is worth dying for,” continue to echo as a powerful reminder of his devotion to our country.

May his legacy continue to inspire every Filipino to value freedom, uphold truth, and love the Philippines with courage and conviction. 🇵🇭

𝐈𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐀𝐆𝐏𝐔𝐏𝐔𝐆𝐀𝐘 𝐊𝐀𝐘 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐔𝐄𝐋 𝐋. 𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐙𝐎𝐍!

​Ngayong 𝐀𝐠𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐨 𝟏𝟗, ating gunitain ang kaarawan at dakilang pamana ni 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐋𝐮𝐢𝐬 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐳𝐨𝐧—ang unang Pangulo ng Komonwelt, ikalawang Pangulo ng Pilipinas, at ang itinataguriang "Ama ng Wikang Pambansa."

​Bago naging lider ng Pamahalaang Komonwelt noong 1935, siya ay nakipaglaban sa Rebolusyong Pilipino at Digmaang Pilipino-Amerikano. Bilang mambabatas, naging susi siya sa pagpasa ng Jones Law at Tydings-McDuffie Act na nagbigay-daan sa ganap na kasarinlan ng Pilipinas mula sa Estados Unidos.

​Sa kanyang pamumuno, itinaguyod niya ang Executive Order No. 134 noong 1937 na nagtatag sa Tagalog bilang batayan ng pambansang wika. Ipinatupad din niya ang mga reporma sa katarungang panlipunan tulad ng minimum wage at 8-hour workday, ipinaglaban ang karapatan ng kababaihang bumoto, at nagbukas ng pinto sa higit 1,200 Jewish refugees noong Holocaust. Bukod dito, itinaguyod niya ang pagpapatayo ng Balintawak City, na ngayong ipinangalang Quezon City bilang pagpaparangal sa kanya.

Nawa'y magsilbing inspirasyon ang kanyang tapang at dedikasyon upang patuloy nating mahalin ang ating wika at ipaglaban ang bayan.

🇵🇭 𝐒𝐀 𝐏𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐇𝐎𝐍 𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐈, 𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐈𝐊𝐀 𝐀𝐘 𝐍𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐀𝐆𝐊𝐀𝐊𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐋𝐀𝐍.

Mula sa bawat yugto ng ating kasaysayan, nabuo ang wikang ating ipinagmamalaki. Sa taong ito, yakapin natin ang temang: "𝗛𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗯𝗼𝗴 𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻, 𝗗𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗹𝗼𝗻."

Ang wika ay higit pa sa paraan ng pakikipag-usap. Ang kasaysayan ay hindi lamang mga kwento ng nakaraan. Ito ang pundasyon ng ating kultura, pagkakakilanlan, at pagkakaisa bilang isang bayan.

Ngayong Agosto, ating binibigyang-pugay ang wikang nagbubuklod at ang kasaysayang humubog sa atin. Sa ating pagdiriwang ng 𝐁𝐮𝐰𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝐚𝐭 𝐊𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧, isabuhay natin ang tema ngayong taon: “𝗪𝗶𝗸𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝗜: 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗸𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗸𝘀𝗶𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝗧𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝘀𝗮 𝗬𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗼𝗻.”

Sa gitna ng mabilis na pag-unlad ng makabagong teknolohiya, nawa'y ang artipisyal na katalinuhan (AI) ay magsilbing tulay upang lalong payamanin, ipagmalaki, at itaguyod ang ating sariling wika at kulturang pamana.

Isapuso at isaisip natin itong makabuluhang pahayag:

Ang State of the Nation Address (SONA) ay taunang ulat ng Pangulo ng Pilipinas tungkol sa kalagayan ng bansa, mga programa ng pamahalaan, at mga plano para sa mga susunod na taon. Higit pa sa isang ulat, ito ay mahalagang pagkakataon upang maging mulat sa mga isyung pambansa, maunawaan ang mga hamon at pagkakataong kinakaharap ng ating bansa, at mapahalagahan ang kahalagahan ng pagiging isang responsableng mamamayan.

Bilang mga Ignacian Marian, hinihikayat ang bawat isa na makinig nang may paggalang, magnilay sa mga mahahalagang usaping inilalahad, at palawakin ang ating kaalaman sa mga pangyayaring humuhubog sa ating bansa. Sa pagiging responsable, at may malasakit sa kapwa, patuloy nating maisasabuhay ang ating mga pagpapahalagang Faith, Excellence, and Service sa loob at labas ng ating pamayanan.
