After a series of intense matchups and electrifying battles in the arena, the PSITS Region 11 Interschool Tekken 8 Tournament 2026 officially concludes with the following final standings:

𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 (𝗗𝗦𝗦𝗖), through the 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 (𝐂𝐈𝐃𝐒), was represented by
𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗿. 𝗙𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗣. 𝗔𝗹𝗯𝗮, who served as a Resource Person during the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Central Office Digital Bootcamp held at 𝗖.𝗣. 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮 𝗔𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲, 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀.

The bootcamp, conducted on 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟱–𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, focused on the CHED ACHIEVE Digital Roadmap, which outlines the strategic direction for digital transformation in the higher education sector. The activity aimed to align CHED initiatives with the national agenda for digital transformation and digitization, ensuring that higher education institutions are equipped to support a technology-driven and innovation-focused future.

Through its participation, 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲, particularly the College of Information and Digital Sciences, reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the country’s digital transformation initiatives. 𝗗𝗦𝗦𝗖 continues to promote the integration of digital technologies and innovative practices to help strengthen efficient, transparent, and responsive governance across institutions and communities.

𝐀𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐂𝐈𝐃𝐒 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐞𝐛 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐂𝐎𝐈𝐋 2026

Yesterday, March 03, 2026, Davao del Sur State College officially launched the Global Web Design: Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) program in partnership with National Meanchey University, Cambodia, a milestone initiative spearheaded by the College of Information and Digital Sciences (CIDS). This engagement reflects the College’s strong commitment to internationalization, digital innovation, and meaningful global collaboration.

As reflected in the session screenshots and promotional materials, the program brings together faculty members and students in a dynamic virtual classroom where expertise is shared beyond geographical boundaries. At the heart of this collaboration is the course Web Systems and Technologies, which covers essential topics such as Introduction to HTML, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Semantic HTML Elements, Web Servers, the Client-Server Model, and Basic Server-Side Processing. Through synchronous online sessions, lecturers from both institutions co-deliver lessons, demonstrating real-time international academic partnership.

Representing CIDS, three faculty members serve as lecturers in this COIL initiative: Dr. Felomino P. Alba, Dean of the College of Information and Digital Sciences; Prof. Kris C. Bahaya, LPT, MIT; and Prof. Carl Ohmar Z. Montoya. Guiding the overall implementation as Moderator is Prof. Dhominic Arendain, ensuring smooth facilitation, coordination, and active engagement throughout the sessions.

Running from March 03 to May 19, 2026, this COIL activity is more than a virtual exchange, it is a powerful demonstration of how DSSC, through CIDS, continues to build global academic bridges and equip students with the competencies needed in an increasingly interconnected and technology-driven world.

The Whole-Day Faculty Training on Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (𝗩𝗗𝗜) and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (𝗛𝗖𝗜) was successfully conducted on 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, at 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝟑, 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞.

The event brought together faculty members committed to advancing their knowledge in modern IT infrastructure and exploring innovative solutions for smarter, more secure, and future-ready classrooms. The training focused on practical applications of VDI and HCI in educational environments highlighting how these technologies can enhance classroom management, improve data security, streamline resource allocation, and support flexible learning setups.
