Ngayong Day, hinihikayat ng DepEd ang mga magulang at guardian na maglaan ng oras para magsalo-salo, magkumustahan, at makinig sa kanilang mga anak.

Tandaan na ang simpleng kumustahan ay lumilikha ng mas malalim na ugnayan sa pamilya at daan upang bumuo ng mas suportadong environment para sa mga bata.

Learners of Goma National High School participated in the Classroom Viewing of DepEd’s Video Promoting Values Formation and Advocacy Against Violence and Bullying in Schools.

The activity reinforced the importance of respect, kindness, empathy, and responsibility in creating a safe and caring school community.

Let us speak up, stand together, and take action against bullying and violence. Be an upstander—not a bystander. Together, let us make Goma National High School a safer place for every learner.

𝐆𝐨𝐦𝐚 𝐍𝐇𝐒 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐒𝐏𝐂 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

Goma National High School student journalists participated in the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) held at Digos City National High School from September 10 to 12, 2026, with several representatives competing in the Secondary English category.

Competing in the Secondary English category were Myles M. Albances in Feature Writing, Alexa Nicole Satinitigan in Column Writing, Khashmier Eloise T. Daduya in Editorial Writing, and Zyriel Josh E. Cahulogan in Editorial Cartooning.

In the Round 2 qualifiers, Jelian P. Cubar competed in Sci-Tech Writing, while Fritzie B. Salaysay secured second place in Sports Writing and qualified for the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC), scheduled for October 2026 in Panabo City.

The student journalists participated in various writing and visual journalism events that tested their ability to develop stories, present ideas, analyze issues, and communicate information through different journalistic forms.

School Paper Advisers Resweetcel P. Bongabong and Evelyn S. Lawag accompanied and guided the participants throughout the competition.

The DSPC provided the GNHS campus journalists with an opportunity to demonstrate their journalistic skills at the division level. Salaysay’s qualification to the RSPC marks the school’s continued participation in campus journalism activities and its preparation for the regional competition.

𝐆𝐨𝐦𝐚 𝐍𝐇𝐒 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐬 𝐌𝐎𝐀 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐇𝐒 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧

𝐃𝐈𝐆𝐎𝐒 𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘, 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 — Goma National High School (GNHS) formalized its partnership with four industry establishments through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the Senior High School Work Immersion program held at the Digos City Division’s Conference Hall.

The MOA signing involved Mayor Steel Construction and Supplies, represented by Ms. Josefina Cervantes; Twin Welding and Repair, represented by Ms. Precilla Manib; Rhumyr Tailoring; and Takeshi Tailoring. The partner establishments will accommodate learners from the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) strand under the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Dressmaking specializations.

The partnership provides a framework for learners to undertake workplace-based activities where they can apply competencies acquired in school and gain exposure to actual industry practices.

The signing also establishes the respective responsibilities of the school and partner establishments in implementing the Work Immersion program and supporting the learners throughout their workplace experience.

Through the agreement, GNHS and its industry partners reaffirm their collaboration in providing learners with opportunities for practical training aligned with their respective TVL specializations.

31 industry partners seal SHS ties with 5 Digos schools

Thirty-one industry partners converged with five schools in the Schools Division of Digos City for a division-wide Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing supporting Senior High School (SHS) Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL), TechPro, and Academic Track programs.

The partnership linked Digos City Senior High School, Kapatagan National High School, Matti National High School, Goma National High School, and Digos City National High School with industry partners to strengthen school-industry collaboration.

The initiative aims to expand meaningful opportunities for learners by connecting their SHS education with industry exposure, workplace experiences, and career pathways.

The school community extends its sincere gratitude to Mayor Josef Fortich Cagas for his support in making the improvement of the road and pathway leading to the school possible. Through the initiative and coordination of Brgy. Captain Jimmy Aldaba and Barangay Kagawad Ricky Awo, the request for assistance was successfully brought to the Mayor's office, resulting in the improvement of the school’s access road.

The undertaking has significantly improved the condition and accessibility of the pathway, providing a safer, smoother, and more convenient route for our learners, teachers, parents, and community members. This development is a welcome improvement for the entire school community and addresses an important need in ensuring better access to the school.

This undertaking is a testament to what can be achieved when the school and the community work together toward a common purpose. Through strong partnerships, shared responsibility, and collective commitment, we can continue to create better schools, improve learning environments, and provide our learners with the support they need to thrive.

Together, we build not only better schools, but a stronger foundation for education and the future of our community!
