The College of Business Education and Governance (CBEG) wrapped up the year with a productive two-day Year-End Assessment and Initial Target Setting held last December 6–7, 2025 at Samoi Place, Marilog District, Davao City.

This event aimed to review the college performance from June to December 2025 and to carefully map out the strategic targets for January to June 2026.
The activity allowed everyone to look back at the year’s accomplishments, identify areas for growth, and ensure that the BSAB, BPA, and BSAIS programs remain aligned with institutional standards.
The college commitment remains the same: to deliver quality education and uphold the values of DSSC in every step we take.

𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: 𝗗𝗦𝗦𝗖 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹 𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗙𝗖 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness (BSAB), Bachelor of Science in Agroforestry (BSAF), and Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (BSABE) students were recognized as winners in the recently concluded Young Farmers Challenge (YFC) 2025 Provincial Level Competition - Start-Up Category last November 12, 2025, at the AMAD Conference Room of the Department of Agriculture, Regional Field Office XI (DA-RFO XI).

What an unforgettable week it has been! 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗖𝗕𝗘𝗚) has once again shown its spirit, talent and teamwork by clinching the 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 at 𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗞𝗨𝗬𝗢𝗚 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱.

From the grand opening parade to the much-awaited awards night, the students, faculty, and supporters of CBEG radiated unmatched energy—showing unity in action, excellence in performance, and heart in every event.

The 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝘆𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀 also reigned as 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙞𝙤𝙣 for 𝙆𝙄𝙉𝘼𝘼𝘿𝙈𝘼𝙉 (Academics), 𝙆𝙐𝙎𝙊𝙂 (Sports), and 𝘿𝙐𝙔𝙊𝙂 (Socio-Cultural), a clean sweep that speaks volumes of their hard work and dedication throughout the week.

The College of Business Education and Governance (CBEG) would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to 𝗗𝗿. 𝗭𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗼 𝗣. 𝗜𝗯𝗮ñ𝗲𝘇, college dean, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗣. 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗻, adviser of the CBEG Local Student Council (LSC), along with the CBEG LSC officers, Junior Philippine Agribusiness Management Society (JPAMS) officers, Planner, Organizer, Workers, Empowered, Resourceful, and futuristic United Leaders, BPA (POWERFUL BPA) officers, and Accounting Students Executive Club (ASEC) officers for their unwavering commitment, perseverance, and hard work from the early stages of planning to the successful ex*****on of activities during KINKUYOG 2025. Their dedication, teamwork, and tireless efforts played a vital role in ensuring that every event reflected the true spirit of excellence, unity, and leadership that defines the College of Business Education and Governance.

CBEG also conveys its sincere thanks to the faculty and staff who extended their physical, emotional, and financial support. Above all, the college commends all the student participants who demonstrated their passion, talent, and excellence in representing CBEG with pride and integrity.

This remarkable achievement is a testament to the collective hard work, determination, and school spirit that continue to make CBEG a beacon of excellence within Davao del Sur State College.

The top 10 finalists of the NextGen Agathon Program 2025 gathered for a day of insight and empowerment, as they refined their business ideas through expert-led sessions. The event kicked off with opening remarks from Dr. Cherry Ann P. Roxas, RDI Director, followed by an inspiring message of support from College President Dr. Augie E. Fuentes.

The morning sessions featured Rio Jean Molina, IPO Coordinator, who enlightened the students on the importance of Intellectual Property Awareness. Charie Vidal, MBA, introduced the Value Proposition Canvas, guiding the finalists in aligning their offerings with market needs.

In the afternoon, Kim Llego, MBA, shared his expertise on Product-Market Fit, helping the students understand how to scale their products for long-term success.

The day culminated with workshops and presentations, where the finalists showcased their refined ideas, gaining valuable feedback. This event proved to be a pivotal moment for these young entrepreneurs as they continue to innovate and drive change in the agri-tech space.

Davao del Sur State College proudly congratulates Dr. Sheruel Matalandang for successfully completing the Diploma in Women, Peace, and Security under the First Cohort of Mindanao State University – Maguindanao.

This remarkable achievement reflects Dr. Matalandang’s steadfast dedication to advancing peace, inclusivity, and leadership through education. It also stands as a testament to DSSC’s continuing pursuit of academic growth and meaningful participation in nation-building.

Beyond receiving these prestigious awards, DSSC delegates also took center stage as they presented the College’s winning program cases before international universities. Their presentations showcased DSSC’s trailblazing initiatives, reinforcing the College’s commitment to transformative education, ethical leadership, and impactful innovation.

Truly, this milestone places DSSC on the global map of higher education, an inspiring journey of a state college from Davao del Sur making waves in the international arena. With each recognition, DSSC proves that we are ready to dream bigger, reach farther, and shine brighter.

Davao del Sur State College- College of Business Education and Governance faculty members, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗵𝗼𝗱𝗮 𝗠. 𝗛𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘀, 𝗠𝗔𝗕𝗠, and 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗥𝗼𝗲𝗹 𝗝𝗿. 𝗗. 𝗔𝗽𝗮𝘀, 𝗠𝗣𝗔, participated in the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 (ICMAR 2025). The event was organized by the Visayas-Mindanao Consortium for Journal Publication, Inc. (VMCPI), in partnership with Biliran Province State University (BIPSU) on September 16-19, 2025 at BiPSU Main Campus, Naval, Biliran Province.

During the conference, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗵𝗼𝗱𝗮 𝗠. 𝗛𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘀, 𝗠𝗔𝗕𝗠, presented her research entitled: 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀, and 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗥𝗼𝗲𝗹 𝗝𝗿. 𝗗. The conference seeks to: Provide a platform for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to exchange insights and knowledge on methodological advances for achieving SDGs; Promote discussions and presentations that highlight how methodological advances can guide strategic action planning, ensuring the translations of research findings into implementable solutions; Appreciate best practices in research on SDGs; and Establish network and partnership among local and international researchers, institutions, and stakeholders working towards SG achievement.
