A message from our Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Melanie P. Estacio, CESO V! Thank you, SDS. ❤️❤️❤️

Keep going our dear teachers of Aplaya Elementary School! We believe in you. ✨

To all our dedicated teachers of the Digos City Division:

Your contribution to the formation of our learners goes far beyond the lessons you teach inside the classroom. Every day, you shape minds, build character, inspire dreams, and become a source of guidance and hope to our learners. As educators and second parents, you play a significant role in helping our children become confident, responsible, and compassionate individuals.

There will be times when your efforts are criticized or misunderstood. Let criticism never make you falter. Instead, let it remind you of your purpose—why you chose to teach and why your work matters. Behind every learner who succeeds is a teacher who patiently believed, guided, encouraged, and never gave up.

You deserve better because you give your best every day. You deserve appreciation because you continue to provide quality education despite challenges. And you deserve our respect because you are helping build not only learners, but the future of our community.

Stand tall, dear teachers. Your work matters. Your sacrifices matter. Your voice matters. And most importantly, your learners need you.

Let us continue teaching with purpose, serving with compassion, and inspiring with excellence. Together, let us remain steadfast in our commitment to provide every learner with accessible, inclusive, and quality education.

To the teachers of Digos City Division—thank you for being the hands that guide, the hearts that care, and the voices that inspire. You are making a difference, one learner at a time.

Aplaya ES ignites barangay gym with Intramurals 2026

Today, August 8,2026, under a bright and blazing Saturday sun, the Aplaya Elementary School (AES) community brought its energy inside the barangay gymnasium as learners gathered for Intramurals 2026 themed, "Beyond the Game: Empowering Learners through Sports, Unity, and Lifelong Learning.”

The sunny weather seemed to mirror the excitement inside the venue, where cheers, music, and spirited performances filled the gym, added by the melodious and upbeat music of the school band and the entourage was accompanied by the Boy Scouts of the Philippines.

Learners clothed with their PE uniforms performed with enthusiasm through their canned music, as their parents took videos.

Moreover, special awards were given as follows:

1. Outstanding Teamwork Award for the Grade 5 Yellow Wildcats;
2. Most Energetic Award for the Grade 2 Purple Wolves;
3. Best in Choreography Award for the Grade 6 Red Dragons;
4. Best in Stage Presence Award for the Grade 1 Blue Sharks;
5. Best in Synchronization Award for the Grade 4 Green Pythons;
6. Best in Musicality Award for the Grade 3 Orange Tigers; and
7. Best in Costume Award for the Kindergarten Pink Panthers

School Sports Coordinator, Sir Jayson M. Abellon, being the brain of this annual event recognized their creativity, passion, and team spirit as he awards the certificates.

School Head, Sir Juvy Salise expressed his appreciation to the teachers, parents, and stakeholders who generously gave their time and support, especially since the activity was held on a Saturday.

School's General Parent-Teacher Association Officers and the Barangay officials also commended the school community for organizing an event that brought learners, families, teachers, and community leaders together in support of children's development.

All teachers oathed as they were called to officiate the games. Moreover, DAVRAA 2025 winning gymnast Euri Gaene Canono led the Oath of Sportsmanship as well as the lighting of the Urn followed by the Oath of Sportsmanship together with her co-DAVRAA 2025 qualifying gymnast, Grace Carmelotis.

As the cheers echoed through the barangay gymnasium, Sir Frances Jay Acero held the order as host of today's event alongside the technical master, Sir Erik Calipayan.

"AES learners showed that sports and dance performances are more than competition. They are a powerful avenue for building unity, character, confidence, and lifelong lessons proving that the true victory goes beyond the game," shared Sir Juvy in his message.

Sports Coor, Abellon emphasized that this one-day event is meant to be enjoyed as everyone learned the spirit of sportsmanship, camaraderie and unity, and it's a proof that in collaboration everything is possible.

As he declared the opening of this sporting event, Jay Niño Plañas, Grade 6 learner received a minetary reward when he reached for the tossed basketball ball, signifying the commencement of the event.

To ensure that Aplaya ES faithfully adhered to NO DISRUPTION OF CLASSES during the entire Instructional Block of this Term 1, the school conducted it today, Saturday. Practices were done every after classes.

To God be all the glory and honor!✨

AES PTA officers support CCTV installation

To ensure everyone's safety and security while in the premises of Aplaya Elementary School, the outgoing Parent-Teacher Association officers backed the supply and the installation of 8 CCTV cameras, today.

As an offshoot of the assembly meeting last Saturday, the officers purchased the CCTVs to help the school to improve the safety and security measures set for the learners, teachers, staff, and visitors.

Moreover, School Head Sir Juvy B. Salise added that this project is very timely to support emergency response by providing real-time or recorded footages in school, more importantly it will help the school to deter bullying, vandalism, theft, and other inappropriate behavior, thus, protecting the AES learners from untoward incidents.

CCTV cameras were installed to monitor the entrances, hallways, and parking areas in school to enhance safety.

Sir Juvy B. Salise, together with our newly-appointed teacher Mr. Francis Jay Acero, facilitated the installation of cameras by the service providers.

Thank you very much to our faithful General PTA Officers for School Year 2025-2026 led by Mr. Zandro S. Torreon and of course, huge thanks to the magnanimous support of our new PTA President Mr. Wencie F. Ochoco and all the newly-elected PTA officers! 💫
