The audit, facilitated by Madam Editha Mansion, Acting Administrator of Lasam Institute of Technology, concluded with an outstanding resultโ€”100% compliance. This accomplishment reflects the universityโ€™s unwavering commitment to excellence, quality training, and strict adherence to TESDA standards.

Twenty (20) third-year Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) students from Quirino State University-Diffun Campus successfully achieved a 100% Competency Rate in the National Competency Assessment for Events Management Services NC III, showcasing their skills and readiness to meet industry standards.

The assessment was conducted on April 9โ€“10, 2026, under the expertise of TESDA-accredited Competency Assessor Ms. Maricris T. Camarauan of Cagayan State Universityโ€“Andrews Campus.

The success of the candidates was made possible through the guidance of their instructor, Ms. Cynthia Ayado.

Day 1 of the 2026 Quirino Provincial Skills Competition was successfully held on February 24, 2026, organized by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Quirino Provincial Office at the Provincial Training Centerโ€“Quirino in Palacian, Aglipay.

The event formally opened with an inspiring Opening Program led by TESDA Quirino Acting Provincial Director John Eivor G. Orro, together with Ms. Emogene P. Senense representing Governor Dakila Carlo E. Cua, and Hon. Warlita Alberto representing Mayor Jerry T. Agsalda, along with institutional heads, trainers, coaches/experts, and competitors. Messages of support emphasized excellence, discipline, and professionalism, key values that define every skilled worker.

Right after the ceremony, the competition proper officially began. Competitors stepped into their respective areas and demonstrated impressive technical skills, composure, and confidence, reflecting months of training and preparation.

The CHTM-Skills Training and Assessment Center Unit of Quirino State Universityโ€“Diffun proudly competed in Bakery, Cookery, Hotel Reception, and Restaurant Service, showcasing industry-level performance and a strong competitive spirit.

Day 1 was truly a celebration of talent, teamwork, and technical excellence, setting a high standard for the rest of the competition.

CHTM- Skills Training and Assessment Center Unit of Quirino State University - Diffun Campus is now accepting enrollees for Bread and Pastry Production NCII under the Training for Work Scholarship (TWSP) of TESDA.

The scholarship is open to the unemployed, out-of-school youth, and those aged 18 and above who are not currently enrolled in any other training programs.
