A day filled with fun activities, games, and entertainment exclusively for our MATS students? YES! 🎉

Calling the entire MATS College community, the Students’ Day Celebration will take place on March 18, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The event is prepared especially for our students to encourage camaraderie, enjoyment, and active participation through various exciting programs.

All students are encouraged to join and take part in the activities. Attendance will be checked during the event. Further details and the full program flow will be announced soon.

𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 entitled “𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝: 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬, 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬” was successfully conducted on 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 7, 2026 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦 (𝐀𝐕𝐑) of 𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐒 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲.

This significant activity served as a platform to promote mental health awareness and highlight the importance of resilience in navigating the challenges of an ever-changing world. The seminar was facilitated by 𝗠𝗮’𝗮𝗺 𝗥𝗵𝗲𝗮 𝗘𝗮𝗺 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮, our 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗻, together with 𝗦𝗶𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗲 𝗕. 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗯𝗶𝗻, our 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀, who both ensured the smooth flow of the program and emphasized the institution’s commitment to student welfare.

The program’s highlight was an insightful session by guest speaker 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐋𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐉𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐲 𝐓. 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐨, 𝐑𝐆𝐂, 𝐋𝐏𝐓. whose expertise and passion for mental health advocacy inspired participants to fortify their mental resilience and foster supportive communities. Through this initiative, MATS College of Technology reaffirms its commitment to empowering students with the tools for holistic growth, cultivating a healthier and more connected campus environment.

PUBLIC ADVISORY | CLASS SUSPENSION

In compliance with the advisory issued by the City Government of Davao and PAGASA placing Davao City under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 due to Tropical Storm Basyang, all classes at all levels are suspended.

Accordingly, our school will have NO CLASSES starting today, February 5, 2026 (8:00 AM), until tomorrow, February 6, 2026.

Everyone is advised to remain cautious and prioritize safety. Further updates will be posted as necessary.

𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐒 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 office of the 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 successfully carried out its outreach program entitled “𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐠-𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐠: 𝐀 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧” on 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 17, 2026, at the 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 (𝐑𝐒𝐂𝐂) under the 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐃𝐒𝐖𝐃). This meaningful initiative was organized by our Community Extension Services Coordinator 𝐃𝐫. 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐨, facilitated by 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐈𝐯𝐲 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐟𝐮𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐞, and 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐛𝐢𝐧, NSTP Coordinator in collaboration with students, instructors, and RSCC personnels. This activity highlights the spirit of compassion, volunteerism, and collective responsibility in extending love and care to children in need.

The program featured a variety of activities designed to bring joy and warmth to the young beneficiaries, including gift-giving, interactive games, and shared meals that fostered a sense of belonging and celebration. Beyond the festive atmosphere, the outreach also served as an avenue for students to apply the values of service-learning, empathy, and social engagement, while instructors provided guidance and support to ensure the event’s smooth ex*****on. By bridging academic communities with social institutions, the activity reinforced the importance of holistic education—one that not only develops intellectual skills but also nurtures civic consciousness and humanitarian values.

The success of this activity reflects the commitment of the Community Extension Services to empower students as agents of change and to strengthen partnerships with government agencies in promoting social welfare, ultimately creating a lasting impact on both the children served and the academic community involved.
