๐ Sun, Sea, and Smiles: A Day Beyond the Classroom! โ๏ธ
Summer is officially here, and we traded the chalkboard for the coastline! ๐ด
Our students, faculty, and staff at the Davao School for the Blind recently took a break from the "four walls" to embrace a day of pure joy, freedom, and fellowship at the beach. From the soothing sound of the waves to the warmth of the sun, it was a day dedicated to connection and refreshing our spirits.
โจ Highlights of our Day:
Splashes of Joy: Our students diving into the water and feeling the cool embrace of the ocean.
Heartfelt Fellowship: Laughter echoing across the sand as teachers and staff bonded outside of school hours.
Sensory Magic: Feeling the sand between our toes and catching that salty summer breeze.
There is nothing quite like the freedom of the open sea to remind us that joy knows no boundaries. We returned with sun-kissed skin and hearts full of memories! ๐

As the curtain closes on our 44th Founding Anniversary, our hearts are full. What a beautiful evening of thanksgiving, celebration, and shared vision for the Davao School for the Blind!
Celebrating 44 Years of Impact
The evening was a wonderful opportunity to reminisce about the waves of change we have navigated since 1978. From our humble beginnings to the resilient community we are today, we honored the past faculty, dedicated staff, and the over one hundred alumni who have walked these halls. We were reminded once again that DSB is more than an institutionโit is a closely-knit community united by a deep-rooted mission to turn darkness into light.
Our New Digital Horizon
The highlight of the evening was the official launch of our new digital platforms! With our website and new page now live, we are ready to expand our reach across Mindanao. We are inviting everyone to scan the QR codes shared during the event and join our digital family. By sharing our story with your connections, you are helping us reach more children in need and inviting more generous hearts to support our cause.
Dancing into the Future
The night didnโt end with speechesโit ended with joy! Our students, alumni, Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, and guests took to the dance floor together. It was the perfect celebration of a community that moves as one.
We are now setting sail into our next 44 years with renewed energy, a stronger digital presence, and the unwavering support of friends like you. Thank you for being part of our story and for helping us ensure that the future for our students remains bright, colorful, and full of possibility.
