Crossing Bayabas National High School formally installed William D. Enriquez as its new principal during a leadership turnover ceremony held today, August 5, at the school's Audio-Visual Room (AVR), completing a series of administrative changes that also saw two school leaders assume wider responsibilities in DepEd Davao City.
Enriquez returned to CBNHS, where he previously served for a decade as an Araling Panlipunan teacher, bringing with him extensive leadership experience from his most recent post as principal of Binugao National High School.
Describing his appointment as part of God's plan, Enriquez said his return was anchored on Romans 8:28 and reaffirmed his commitment to lead the school with faith, service, and compassion.
"I believe God has a purpose in bringing me back here, and I will continue serving as a father, a servant of the Lord, and now as the principal of Crossing Bayabas National High School," Enriquez said.
Meanwhile, outgoing principal Dr. Leah M. Paรฑa thanked the school community for its support, saying her more than one-year stint at CBNHS became one of the most rewarding chapters of her career.
She attributed the school's accomplishments to the collective efforts of teachers, non-teaching personnel, learners, parents, and stakeholders who worked together toward shared goals.
"This has been one of the best experiences in my career because every success we achieved was made possible through teamwork," Paรฑa said.
Paรฑa officially assumed her new post as Principal-in-Charge of DepEd Davao City Cluster IV, succeeding Dr. Joan B. Galarion, who concluded her term as cluster head and accepted a new assignment in Buhangin District.
Before relinquishing the post, Galarion thanked school heads and personnel across Cluster IV for their cooperation and commended CBNHS for consistently supporting division programs and initiatives whenever called upon.
She expressed confidence that the collaborative culture established within the cluster would continue under its new leadership despite the transition.
The ceremony also introduced Dr. Marvin C. Cabillon as assistant to the school principal, completing the school's new administrative team.
Beyond the formal turnover of positions, the leadership transition signaled continuity in governance as CBNHS welcomed a returning asset while two veteran administrators advanced to broader leadership roles within the division.
