RAIN & FLOOD SAFETY ADVISORY ‼️ 🌧️

As continuous rainfall affects many communities, we encourage everyone to remain alert, prepared, and informed. Floods can happen unexpectedly, threatening lives, damaging homes, and disrupting daily life. However, with the right knowledge and preparedness, we can reduce risks and protect those we love.

Preparedness is not just about having emergency supplies it's about making responsible decisions before, during, and after a disaster. Always monitor official weather updates, prepare an emergency go-bag, identify safe evacuation routes, and keep emergency contact numbers readily available.

If flooding occurs, remember:
✅ Never walk, swim, or drive through floodwaters. Even shallow water can be dangerous, and hidden hazards may put your life at risk. Turn Around, Don't Drown.

✅After the flood, continue to exercise caution.
Inspect your surroundings before returning home,
avoid contaminated water, and prioritize your health and safety.

Every small act of preparedness makes a significant difference. By staying informed and helping one another, we build a stronger and more resilient community.

The City College of Davao – Red Cross Youth (CCD–RCY) proudly recognizes the six members who successfully participated in and completed the Youth Volunteers Formation Course (YVFC) conducted by the Red Cross Youth of the Philippine Red Cross - Davao City Chapter on June 6–7, 2026 at the Aboitiz Room.

Representing City College of Davao - Red Cross Youth, the participants were:

• Gracelyn Tongco
• Angelie Gata
• Leah Pandi

The YVFC served as a foundational training that strengthened the participants' understanding of the Red Cross Movement, humanitarian values, volunteerism, leadership, and community service. Through a series of learning sessions and activities, the participants enhanced their knowledge, skills, and commitment as future humanitarian leaders.

Congratulations to all participants for their dedication, perseverance, and active participation throughout the course. May the lessons gained from this training inspire you to continue serving with compassion, integrity, and humanity.💪🏻❤️🚑
