Ula Elementary School extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Mintal Police Office for conducting a meaningful outreach activity under the Davao City Police Office's Oplan Kabalikat and the 31st Police Community Relations Month Celebration.

Through this initiative, our learners gained valuable knowledge about Anti-Bullying (Republic Act No. 10627), personal safety, and the importance of showing kindness, respect, and responsibility toward one another. The distribution of nutritious snacks also brought joy to our young learners, making the activity both educational and memorable.

We sincerely thank the dedicated personnel of the Mintal Police Office for their time, commitment, and generosity in promoting a safe, caring, and bully-free learning environment. We also extend our deepest appreciation to our Barangay Officials for their unwavering support and collaboration in making this outreach activity a success. Your partnership reflects our shared commitment to the welfare, safety, and holistic development of every child.

RESUMPTION OF FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES

In view of Earthquake Update issued by the Davao City Government and following the completion of the necessary structural safety assessments, ULA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL is pleased to inform all learners, parents, guardians, teaching and non-teaching personnel that face-to-face classes and regular school operations will RESUME on Thursday , June 11, 2026.

This decision is based on the successful structural inspections conducted by the Office of the City Building Official (OCBO) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), which declared the school's buildings and facilities SAFE FOR OCCUPANCY.

The school administration remains committed to ensuring a safe and secure learning environment for everyone. While classes resume, all members of the school community are encouraged to remain vigilant and continue observing earthquake preparedness and safety protocols.

Parents and guardians are advised to remind their children of the proper safety measures and to stay updated through the official communication channels of the school for any further announcements.

Together, we continue to build a safe, resilient, and prepared school community.

Opening Block: Setting routines and student diagnostic tests.

Instructional Block: Core teaching, daily lessons, and skills development.

End-Term Block: Final exams, academic catch-ups, and grading.

📝 The DepEd Grading SystemYour child's grades are calculated using two main areas:

Written Works (WW): Quizzes, long tests, and written exercises.

Performance Tasks (PT): Projects, performance, and hands-on activities (holds the highest weight).

In anticipation of possible aftershocks and pending the completion of ongoing structural assessments, government offices in Davao City, including local government offices and national government agencies, shall adopt a work-from-home arrangement tomorrow, June 9, 2026, EXCEPT for offices providing safety and security, health, sanitation, traffic management, social services, and disaster and emergency response services.

The private sector is encouraged to adopt similar arrangements to ensure the welfare and safety of their employees.

Face-to-face classes at all levels in both public and private educational institutions shall remain suspended tomorrow, June 9, 2026, pending the completion of safety inspections.

Educational institutions are encouraged to adopt online or distance learning modalities to ensure the welfare and safety of their students and personnel.
