HAPPY ENDING OF OUR TRIP.
1st to the 12 of April.
A night full of fun. An impromptu party as well as an impromptu program. Some students danced (even the applicants), some sang, some even said a sermon talking about God (which Kerry didn’t like very much😆) some spoke and did speeches and even our Guest Ma’am Cheryl sang too!
It was a great night and a great way to end a very exhausting, very hectic but gratifying trip.

We say it’s work but it’s not really.
The travelling is exhausting but it truly is worth it. We travel through rough roads, 6-7hrs out of town, cross rivers and drive home buggered and tired-to interview applicants for this school year’s intake. We have 11 graduating students that we need to replace in the dormitory so off we go finding new ones who will have a chance of a new life and a bright future.
We travel and see them in their own houses to make sure that they are truly deserving of our help. It is heartbreaking seeing how they live but there’s also the joy of knowing that they now have hope to change their lives.
Ps. The pictures of pairs of students sitting down around the dorm are our existing students interviewing the new applicants and evaluating them.

Last but very important on our trip by the way is a meeting with the JMC President (Jose Maria College) where 33 of our students are currently studying. A great school and wonderful teachers too!
Thank you JMC for working with us in changing the lives of these students!

And we even got to go away (my husband and I) and had a mini vacation to Bohol!
