OPLAN KAPATIRAN | Relief and Recovery Support for Mindanao Earthquake Victims
June 20, 2026 (Saturday)
With grateful hearts, we are honored to share the successful implementation of Oplan Kapatiran: Relief and Recovery Support for 7.8 Magnitude Earthquake-Affected Communities, a humanitarian initiative dedicated to helping our brothers, sisters, and fellow Filipinos affected by the recent earthquake in Mindanao.
Through the collective efforts of the APO Beta Phi Alumni Association, Beta Phi Chapter Residents, Gamma Theta Alumni Association, and Theta Beta Alumni Association, relief goods and essential supplies were successfully turned over at the General Santos Headquarters located at Gerardo Culinary School. These goods are intended to benefit affected brothers, sisters, and communities in General Santos City, Glan, Malapatan, Maasim, Kiamba, and other parts of Sarangani Province.
Representing Beta Phi Chapter during the activity were Sis. Eden Ascano, Brod. Christopher A. Paran, Brod. Danny Magallanes, and Brod. Alden King Alojado, whose dedication and willingness to serve made this mission possible.
After the turnover activity, the team proceeded to Kiamba, Sarangani Province, where we joined fellow brothers and sisters in distributing vegetables, packed relief goods, and other essentials to earthquake victims. We were warmly welcomed by Brod. Mayor Jong Falgui, whose support and hospitality further strengthened the spirit of community and service.
We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Past SMAR RD Gerry Arbis for his generosity, support, and warm fellowship during the activity.
This project became possible because of the kindness and generosity of many brothers and sisters who answered the call to serve. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Sis. Cynthia Alinio-Perez, Sis. Eden Ascano, Brod. Christopher A. Paran, Sis. Dolly Kitz Claveria, Sis. Luisita May Monje, Sis. Wilma Fortinez Mugas, Sis. Esther Calicdan, Brod. Dante “Bebot” Albenio, Brod. Glenn Dela Victoria, APO Mississauga Alumni Association (APOMAA) Canada through the initiative of Sis. Cynthia Alinio-Perez, Sis. Dina Santos, Brod. Joel Padilla, Atty. Mario Sapilan, and Sis. Marienel Superioridad. Your generosity, trust, and commitment to service brought hope and assistance to those who needed it most.
We also recognize the leadership and support of our officers and chapter leaders, namely Sis. Luisita Monje, Vice President; Raya Manampan, Secretary; Leynet L. Austria, Treasurer; Clerk Moneva, Auditor; Nelson Alabata, Fellowship Chairman; Arvin Alfonso, Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Lando Inguito, Board of Trustee; Atty. Pabres, Board of Trustee; Sonny Manaopanao; and Marvin Parilla, Brod Peter de Jesus and Brod. Arvin Alfonso. Your encouragement and commitment continue to inspire the chapter to remain active and responsive in times of need.
To all our brothers and sisters, volunteers, donors, supporters, and partners, daghang salamat kaayo.
Lig-on ang Mindanao. Lig-on ang Pilipino.
Leadership. Friendship. Service.
