As part of their ongoing practicum, the Master of Arts in Nursing (MAN) students majoring in Clinical Management of Davao Doctors College are immersed in meaningful learning experiences at Davao Doctors Hospital, where they continue to strengthen their clinical expertise, leadership competencies, and commitment to delivering quality patient-centered care.

Simultaneously, the MAN students majoring in Academic Management are gaining valuable administrative and educational leadership experiences at Davao Doctors College under the guidance of the Nursing Management Team. Through active involvement in academic planning, program management, and quality assurance initiatives, they are developing the skills needed to become future leaders in nursing education.

Through the Intensive Clinical and Academic Management Practicum (ICAMP), our graduate nursing students embody the seamless integration of theory, practice, leadership, and service, preparing them to make meaningful contributions to both healthcare delivery and nursing education.

In DDC, I was given the opportunity to grow not only as a student but also as a compassionate and competent nurse. My journey from undergraduate to graduate studies has been filled with challenges, especially as I balanced work and academics. There were many moments when I had to push beyond my limits, but DDC provided me with the support, guidance, and opportunities to persevere. Through its quality education, I gained not only the knowledge and clinical skills essential in nursing but also the values of empathy, excellence, and lifelong learning. My graduate studies broadened my perspective on the nursing profession and opened my heart to the importance of research and evidence-based practice.

In DDC, I discovered what it truly means to be part of an institution that shapes not only competent professionals but also individuals of character and purpose. As someone who has always loved learning, I am deeply grateful for the education, guidance, and values that DDC has instilled in me throughout my journey.

DDC challenged me to grow beyond the traditional scope of nursing. In DDC, true progress is unpredictable, and it often feels a bit messy. It’s that constant rhythm of taking two steps forward and one step back. It’s the exhausting reality of balancing multiple jobs, running from clinical shifts, and staring at a thesis draft at two in the morning, genuinely wondering if the finish line even exists. Progress isn't just about the days when you feel unstoppable. It's also found in the detours, the delays, and the quiet moments when you have to pause, restructure your variables, and find a completely new way forward. Taking the time to slowly navigate a pilot study or carefully rewriting an introduction isn’t a sign that you are stuck—it is progress. It’s the exact friction we need to sharpen our skills and build true, deep resilience.

We owe a profound debt of gratitude to DDC because the institution inherently understands this reality of growth. A lesser institution might just demand results, but DDC nurtured the process. In DDC, I found more than an institution. I found a place that transformed my fears into confidence and my dreams into reality.

There was a time when fear and self-doubt filled my mind.
“What if dili nako kaya?
“What if dili ko kapasar?
“What if dili nako kaya ma-defend ang akong thesis?

Those fears were real. There were days when I felt overwhelmed by the demands of graduate school and wondered if I had what it takes to finish what I started.

But Davao Doctors College, Inc. became more than just a school it became a place where my fears were transformed into confidence. Through every lecture, I learned that growth comes from stepping outside my comfort zone. Through every classroom discussion and presentation, I gradually found my voice and became more confident in expressing my ideas. Through every research consultation, my professors patiently guided me until I realized that I was capable of doing more than I had ever imagined. There were moments when I doubted myself, but my mentors never stopped believing in me. They challenged me to think critically, encouraged me to persevere during difficult times, and reminded me that learning is a journey not a race. More than knowledge and skills, DDC instilled me the values of fortitude the courage to keep going despite challenges and compassion the heart to serve others with excellence humility and integrity.

Their unwavering commitment to academic excellence made my graduate journey truly extraordinary. Being mentored by educators of such high caliber was one of the greatest privileges of my life. They did not simply teach they inspired, empowered, and molded us into compassionate, ethical, and globally competitive nursing professionals.
