MESSAGE OF HIS EXCELLENCY FERDINAND R. MARCOS JR., PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES, TO OUR TEACHERS.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. joins the entire Filipino nation in celebrating National Teachers’ Day, recognizing the vital role of educators in shaping young minds and guiding them toward greater possibilities in life.

In his message, the President recognizes the sacrifices that accompany the teaching profession and reaffirms the shared responsibility to cherish and uplift those who shape our lives.

He calls on teachers to continue forming Filipinos who are “discerning in thought, principled in action, and mindful of the common good,” and assures educators that this government stands with them in meeting the changing demands of education and equipping schools for the challenges of the next generation.

The Mabini National High School – Senior High School Department extends its sincere appreciation to DMMA College of Southern Philippines, our valued Technical-Vocational Institution (TVI) Partner under the Joint Delivery Voucher Program (JDVP), for its generous contribution of a stainless steel worktable, gas range with burner, and coffee maker to our TVL Laboratory.

This meaningful contribution is more than an addition to our laboratory facilities—it is an investment in the skills, competencies, and future employability of our learners. By providing essential tools and equipment that support authentic, hands-on learning, this partnership strengthens our capacity to create a learning environment where students can practice their competencies, develop confidence, and gain experiences aligned with workplace and industry standards.

Through the continued collaboration between Mabini National High School and DMMA College of Southern Philippines, we are able to further bridge classroom instruction and actual workplace practices. Such partnerships provide our learners with opportunities to transform knowledge into practical skills, strengthen their technical competencies, and become better prepared for further education, employment, entrepreneurship, and future career pathways.

The 34th National Family Week reminds us that the family remains one of the most important foundations of a strong, caring, and resilient community. In celebration of this meaningful occasion, we are encouraged to set aside time to reconnect with our loved ones, share a meal, engage in meaningful conversations, and strengthen the bonds that hold our families together.

Anchored on the spirit of “𝙆𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙮𝙖 𝙈𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙜𝙖,” let us recognize the simple yet profound value of gathering around the table. Beyond sharing food, family meals create opportunities for communication, understanding, appreciation, and togetherness—values that help nurture stronger families and communities. The observance of Family Week is likewise rooted in the national recognition of the importance of strengthening family unity, solidarity, and stability.

In view of the recent incidents of violence involving schools and learners in different parts of the country, this Office emphasizes the importance of taking appropriate preventive measures to protect the safety, security, and welfare of learners in the Davao Region.

In this regard, parents and guardians are encouraged, where practicable and according to their own capacity and preference, to consider the use of transparent or clear school bags for their children as an additional preventive school security measure.

The use of transparent or clear school bags is purely encouraged and shall not be construed as a mandatory requirement or an obligation for parents and guardians to purchase new school bags. Schools are encouraged to communicate this appropriately to parents and avoid imposing any financial burden on learners and their families.

School Heads are encouraged to strengthen existing school security measures and coordinate with parents, local authorities, and other concerned stakeholders, as appropriate.

All Schools Division Offices are likewise advised to ensure the timely reporting of security-related incidents and other significant school safety concerns through the Incident Management and Reporting System (IMRS) of the Central Office: https://tinyurl.com/IMRS-Central-Office.
