𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀:
26th Sunday of the Ordinary Time

Christian life is not only about saying yes to God. It is also about embracing responsibility and perseverance. When we say yes to God, then we should articulate our yes with actions. We are challenged to keep our words because if our actions do not support our words, we lose credibility.

Our character is revealed not according to what we say about our character. Our true character is revealed by our willingness to live according to what we say. We should make sure that there is a connection between our words and our actions.

For us to live the abundant life that God wants from us, we must follow the way of the Lord. We must follow the way of simplicity; we must follow the way of humility; we must follow the way of obedience, because these are the ways of the Lord.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀:
Saturday of the 25th Week in Ordinary Time

We too are like the disciples. It is hard for us to imagine death and eternal life. We still have questions that we ponder. Many things remain a mystery, and our human minds are not capable of understanding. And so faith enters when our minds cannot comprehend. And when our faith grows, accepting and understanding the teachings of Jesus become possible for us, including His passion and death on the cross, and His resurrection, a gift for us.

We can be assured, through the grace of faith, that even on the brink of death, we will neither fear nor flee. We know that amidst all suffering, the Lord Jesus Christ is with us. Through His suffering, death, and resurrection, He has proven His promise that we, too, will experience victory and new life, despite the trials we are currently facing.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀:
Friday of the 25th Week in Ordinary Time

We are here in the information. We know who Jesus is through the Scriptures, through formation, through the professors who teach us about spirituality. But do we really know who Jesus is as the Messiah? Not just the superficial understanding of His role as a saviour.

Our seminary formation helps us to fully understand not just our brothers and ourselves, but the one we are following, the one who calls us, because before we can become a good priest, a good preacher, Jesus wants us to allow Him to transform us so that we can be Christ to others, and we may be able to understand Him in our seminary formation.

Moments of sorrow and difficulty help us understand that this formation also carries a cross, and that will make us good priests in the future.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀:
Memorial of St. Pius of Pietrelcina

St. Padre Pio reminds us to pray, hope, and not worry; worry is useless. God is merciful and will answer our prayers.

In prayer, we leave everything to God. We leave our plans, our struggles, and our worries to Him. We place things in God's hands. Hope does not mean that everything will be easy. Rather, Christian hope means that we are hopeful because God remains faithful in every situation. We are also being reminded not to worry. It does not mean that we ignore our problems; we approach our problems with peace because we know that we are not alone. We live with God. We give to God what is beyond our control, and do not worry because God is not done working in our lives.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀:
Tuesday of the 25th Week in Ordinary Time

Who really belongs to the family of Christ? Jesus said, “My mother, my brothers, and sisters are those people who hear the word and act on it.” Of course, Jesus did not reject all His biological family; rather, He is giving us another meaning for becoming members of the family of God.

We don’t have to be with the same bloodline or be a Jew; we just have to be baptized and live an authentic Christian life. We should not only be good listeners of the word of God, but we must also be doers of the word of God.

When the word of God challenges us to forgive, then we forgive. When the word of God challenges us to love those people who are very difficult for us to love, then we love. When the word of God asks us to become humble, then we give humility.

We are reminded that if we want to truly belong to the family of Christ Jesus, we must be willing to hear the word of God and put it into action.

CALLED TO SERVE, CALLED TO LOVE, CALLED TO A PURPOSE.

The 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬 𝐗𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 – 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐚𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 successfully conducted a 𝐕𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦 at 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝐑. 𝐀𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐨 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥.

The students were blessed with an inspiring and meaningful talk from 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐅𝐫. 𝐑𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐨 𝐏. 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢 𝐈𝐈𝐈, who shared valuable insights on vocation, discernment, and responding to God’s call in our lives.

May this encounter inspire the young to listen to God’s voice, discover their purpose, and courageously respond to His invitation to serve and love.

𝗩𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺

On September 21, 2026, Saint Francis Xavier Propaedeutic Year Seminary visited Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School to give a talk to Grade 12 students about the priestly vocation and seminary life, led by the SFX formators, namely Rev. Fr. Ranebe J. Magallanes and Rev. Fr. Ruperto P. Jamili III, and the Saint Francis Xavier Propaedeutic Year Seminarians.

One hundred thirty-four students joined and participated in the program. All students who passed will be notified soon to join the ‘Come and See Search-In’ program of the XACOSE to continue the discernment through a three-day live-in exposure with the seminarians.

We give thanks to Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School for their warm welcome and support.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀:
Feast of Saint Matthew, Apostle and Evangelist

Today we celebrate the feast of Saint Matthew, Apostle and Evangelist. He was a tax collector, a public sinner. Matthew may have been the last rabbi considered worthy to be his disciple, but in Jesus' eyes, he was worthy to be formed by Him and become His disciple. A sinful man is the pattern of people recruited by Jesus. And Matthew was one of them.

Jesus ate with tax collectors and sinners, despite not being one of them. He was not promoting their sins, but by being with them, they may recognize and embrace the love and mercy of God. We may not be as bad as the public sinners, but we are still sinners. And despite our sins, the Lord didn’t abandon us. May we always pray for our brothers and sisters who are lost, for they too need God.
