As we begin another month, all Maritime, BSHM, BSTM, and HRS students are reminded to come to school properly groomed and ready for the Monthly Haircut Inspection on Monday, October 5, 2026.

Maintaining a neat and professional appearance is more than meeting a requirement. It reflects the discipline, confidence, and professionalism expected of students preparing for their future careers.

Students are encouraged to review and follow their respective program’s prescribed haircut guidelines before the scheduled inspection.

BSCA students are not included in this inspection cycle, as the program observes a separate set of grooming guidelines.

A total of 229 examinees took the NSA Written Examination at DMMA College of Southern Philippines on September 27, 2026, taking an important step toward becoming part of the NSA Cadetship Program.

DMMA College of Southern Philippines welcomed the representatives from SEASPAN for a three-day institutional visit focused on assessing cadet competencies, advancing maritime training, and exploring stronger industry-academe collaboration.

Through Deck and Engine assessments, written and computer-based examinations, and one-on-one technical interviews, DMMA cadets demonstrated their knowledge and skills while gaining firsthand exposure to industry expectations. These activities provided a valuable opportunity for aspiring seafarers to take their next step toward a maritime career.

Beyond the assessments, a campus tour and management discussions opened conversations on training standards, cadet development, and potential areas of collaboration—reinforcing DMMA’s commitment to education that responds to the needs of the maritime industry.

Our sincere appreciation to Capt. Chinna Ruparaju, Capt. Mihai-Zaharia Munteanu, and C/E Felicisimo Gapusan for engaging with our cadets and academic community.

The DMMA College community came together in faith and prayer for the 8th Novena in honor of Our Lady, Star of the Sea. Through the Holy Rosary and Holy Mass, our students, faculty, and staff shared a meaningful moment of thanksgiving, reflection, and unity as one community.

As we continue this journey of faith, we invite the entire DMMA College community to join us in celebrating the 32nd Annual Fiesta in Honor of Mary, Star of the Sea on September 26, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the GKK Queen of Peace Chapel, Nova Tierra Village, Brgy. V. Hizon, Davao City.

As one maritime community, let us gather in prayer and thanksgiving for the continued guidance, protection, and blessings upon our seafarers, their families, and our entire DMMA College community.

May Our Lady, Star of the Sea continue to guide and watch over our journeys, especially those who dedicate their lives to the sea.

We invite all DMMA College students, faculty, and staff to come together on September 24 for the Holy Rosary at 2:00 PM, followed by the Holy Mass at 3:00 PM. May this sacred gathering strengthen our faith, deepen our unity, and bring our whole DMMA community closer together.
