𝗖𝗔𝗣𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘, 𝗗𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗢𝗣𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧, 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗗𝗘𝗙𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗘
A Structured Guide for Grade 12 Students of Davao Central College – Rasay Campus

From January 28–30, 2026, the Capstone Project journey officially concluded through three meaningful phases.

𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬 focused on introducing the importance of the Capstone Project and its basic fundamentals—understanding how to clearly define a real problem, align it with objectives, develop a solution, and support it through proper validation.

𝗗𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗢𝗣𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗗𝗔𝗬 was a hands-on workshop where students created a basic Pitch Deck following the Lean Canvas format. Emphasis was placed on simplicity, minimal yet meaningful content, and understanding how to communicate ideas clearly and confidently.

𝗗𝗘𝗙𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬 marked the real challenge—where students delivered their pitches and demonstrated what they had learned from the previous two days through performance, clarity, and confidence.

This journey from Lecture to Development to Defense has been a valuable experience. I, Mark Lawrence Narisma, together with the Top 7 team—Mark, Charles, Jose, Angela, Kyla, Robert, and Aaron—are grateful for the opportunity to support the Grade 12 students of Oppenheimer, Faraday, Sievert, and Curie.

Our sincere thanks to Ma’am Cyrell and Sir Adolf for consistently checking on us, to our supportive and dynamic ITE Program Head for the guidance (and snacks), and to Ma’am Kristel, Principal of Basic Education, for giving us this opportunity. We also extend our appreciation to the panelists—Paul, Jobeth, King, and Jamel—and to our tabulator, Gigi, for their valuable roles during Defense Day.

Empowering communities through collaboration and meaningful partnership.
Our 3rd Year BSIT students conducted a fieldwork session focused on data gathering and live form collection to support the development of a PWD Record-Keeping System for Toril Proper.

𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐃𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐘
In collaboration with the College Supreme Student Government (CSSG), the Relief Team of the Information Technology Education Program of Davao Central College has successfully concluded its Donation Drive for the Community of Manay, Davao Oriental.

This initiative aimed to extend relief and support to families affected by the recent earthquake. The collected donations—comprising food items, bottled water, hygiene kits, medicine kits, diapers, and sanitary products—were made possible through the collective generosity of our students, faculty, and staff.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Davao Central College Administration for their continued guidance and support, as well as to the College Supreme Student Government (CSSG) and the Relief Team members for their dedication and compassion throughout this initiative.

A special acknowledgment goes to the ITE Sincotecs for their active participation and unwavering support, which greatly contributed to the success of this donation drive.

Most importantly, heartfelt thanks to all the donors—including White House, Gilbert Store, Villa Grande Heights residents, and the DCC ITE students—who shared their blessings and stood in solidarity with the affected communities of Manay. Your kindness has made a meaningful difference and brought hope to those in need.

𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗦-𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗣: 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗧

The interactive group exercise was conducted with the two Grade 11 sections of Doña Carmen Denia National High School at the Computer Laboratory. The task was to create a simple landing page for their school using AI tools.

This was a challenging activity for the Grade 11 students, as web development has not yet been introduced in their curriculum, which is currently focused on animation. However, with the help of our guest speaker’s discussion on how AI can be utilized, and the support from our BSIT-III seniors who demonstrated the basics of coding and guided them through the process, the students were able to create their landing pages more easily and confidently.

Congratulations to both Grade 11 sections for showing great potential in the IT field.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the School Principal of Doña Carmen Denia National High School, Dr. Zenaida R. Batingana, and the Assistant Principal, Ma’am Lorna A. Castañares. Our appreciation also goes to the Davao Central College Main Campus School President, Dr. Ruben Dela Cruz, RGC, the Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Myrna P. Tubigan, the Research and Extension Director / Internationalization Officer, Dr. Della Grace G. Bacaltos, and the Head of the Management Information System, Sir Erwin Acedillo, LPT, MIT.

[𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗥𝗗 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧] With the main part of the program completed, the event proceeded to the distribution of certificates and tokens to the Senior High School participants. These were presented by CES Champion Ma'am Eden and IT Instructor Ma'am Jesaryll. Following this, the Gift Giving program took place, led by CES member Robert Jay Gonzales. Flash drives, donated by DCC SHS Rasay from a previous CES event, were distributed to the students. The program concluded with the evaluation process, where Senior High School students provided their honest feedback.

This was followed by a talk from CES member Mark Lawrence Narisma, a BSIT-III student. Afterward, an icebreaker activity was led by the Masters of Ceremonies, Brenstar John Dulalas and King Emirence Gumban. The event continued with an interactive hands-on workshop, where SHS students from DCDNHS explored the basics of coding by creating a landing page for their school.
