The Pedro S. Carriedo Elementary School Teachers, together with School Principal Alberto A. Orenciada, actively participated in the School Orientation on the Davao City Learning Resource Portal. The activity aimed to familiarize educators with the platform’s features and available digital resources to support effective and meaningful teaching and learning delivery.

The orientation was followed by a hands-on session, where teachers were guided in navigating and utilizing the portal. This initiative strengthened teachers’ digital competence and encouraged the integration of accessible, quality learning resources in classroom instruction.

Pedro S. Carriedo Elementary School proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of Jody Mae A. Arellano, a talented Grade 5 student who continues to bring honor to the school through her outstanding performance in gymnastics.

Guided by the expertise and dedication of her school coach, Ms. Ana B. Salazar, Teacher III of Pedro S. Carriedo Elementary School, supported by her loving parents, and strengthened by the training of her well-trained private coach, Jody Mae recently proved her skill and determination by winning 1st Place in the District Meet, earning the prestigious title of Gold Medalist in the Unit Meet, and qualifying for the highly anticipated DCAA (Davao City Athletic Association) Meet.

This golden victory is also made possible through the inspiring leadership of Alberto A. Orenciada, School Head, whose encouragement and support continue to motivate student-athletes to reach their full potential. His guidance plays a key role in fostering an environment where young talents like Jody Mae can shine.

The combined efforts of her school coach, private coach, dedicated parents, and the strong support of our School Head have been instrumental in honing Jody Mae’s talent and preparing her for higher levels of competition.

As one of the school’s shining athletes, Jody Mae serves as an inspiration to her fellow students, proving that hard work, teamwork, and determination can turn dreams into reality. Her journey from school training sessions to district and unit competitions is a testament to the power of passion, family support, dedicated coaching, and excellent school leadership in achieving greatness.
