Five young taekwondo jins will represent the school as they battle for qualification slots in the Batang Pinoy National Games Qualifier, set to unfold in Bacolod from December 12 to 18, 2026.

Sharpened through months of rigorous training, the young athletes now brace for the mat, aiming to strike their way into the national stage and etch their names among the country's rising taekwondo talents.

The school extends its full support to the contingent as they carry its colors into competition.

Earlier today, students of Davao City Special National High School gathered for an educational symposium focused on Adolescent Health Issues and Perspectives (AHIP). The session provided students with valuable insights on safety, well-being, responsible decision-making, and healthy development during adolescence.

Conducted in two batches, the symposium tackled various topics, including Healthy and Happy Risk Takers, Adolescent Mental Health, Communicating with Adolescents, and the Importance of Reproductive Health (RH). The sessions also featured AHIP and PREPARE open forums, giving students opportunities to raise questions and gain a deeper understanding of issues affecting adolescents.

Davao City Special National High School (DCSNHS) came together for “Kuskos Day” on September 7, 2026, as students and school clubs rolled up their sleeves to clean, organize, and care for their respective spaces.

Students tidied their classrooms while clubs took responsibility for designated areas, turning an ordinary cleaning day into a collective effort grounded in discipline, cooperation, and school pride.

Beyond brooms, brushes, and freshly cleaned spaces, the initiative reflected a deeper commitment to building a safe, welcoming, and inspiring environment for learning—one maintained not by a few, but by the entire school community.

Davao City Special National High School (DCSNHS) wrapped up Students’ Week 2026 through a series of competitions held at the school dome on September 4, 2026, giving learners an opportunity to celebrate, develop their skills, and strengthen unity across grade levels and as one school community.

The activities continued with the Modern Dance Competition, where students demonstrated precise synchronization, originality, and discipline. Each grade level delivered a distinct performance, highlighting the participants’ coordination and ability to execute their routines with confidence.

Adding to the celebration was the parody of “First Day High,” which entertained students through humorous presentations from the participating grade levels. The entries portrayed relatable school experiences while bringing a lively atmosphere to the event.

Meanwhile, the much-anticipated Mr. and Ms. Fresh Face 2026 introduced new faces to the pageant stage, where students displayed confidence, eloquence, elegance, and courage throughout the competition.

Through the various activities, DCSNHS learners demonstrated not only their talents but also dedication, courage, and commitment. The celebration provided opportunities for students to strengthen their skills, build camaraderie, and gain meaningful experiences they can carry into the school year ahead.

Davao City Special National High School (DCSNHS) students showcased culture, talent, and unity through a series of competitions during Students’ Week, demonstrating perseverance and sportsmanship despite the challenges encountered in preparation.

The Laro ng Lahi competition highlighted students’ physical abilities while promoting Filipino cultural traditions. Contestants displayed commitment and determination as they represented their respective grade levels.

In the vocal solo and duet competitions, students expressed their passion and emotions through music, captivating the audience with performances marked by confidence and enthusiasm.

The celebration continued with instrumental performances, where students brought together diverse rhythms and musical expressions, showcasing creativity, dedication, and individuality.

ARAL for One, One for All: DCSNHS Implements End-of-Term ARAL Program

The Davao City Special National High School (DCSNHS) implements the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Program on September 2, 2026, providing targeted and individualized learning support to selected learners at the end of Term 1.

The program runs from September 2 to 8, 2026, and is facilitated by the school’s faculty members and student teachers. It aims to address identified learning gaps, strengthen learners’ competencies, and provide appropriate academic support based on their individual learning needs.

To enhance the learning experience, teachers prepared worksheets, learning activities, and other instructional materials aligned with the competencies of participating learners. Through focused instruction and guided activities, learners are given opportunities to reinforce essential skills, build confidence, and improve their academic performance.

The implementation of the End-of-Term ARAL Program reflects DCSNHS’s commitment to inclusive, responsive, and accessible education. Through the collective efforts of dedicated teachers and determined learners, the school continues to uphold the principle that no learner should be left behind.
