The assembly served as an avenue to orient students on institutional policies, academic regulations, program requirements, and student services while introducing the college officials, faculty members, and support personnel who will guide us throughout our academic journey. More importantly, it strengthened the connection between the administration and the student body through meaningful discussions, leadership opportunities, and an open forum where concerns and ideas were heard.

As one engineering community, we also celebrated the spirit of camaraderie through interactive games, engaging activities, and the official introduction of our student organizations, encouraging every student to become active contributors to the growth and success of the College of Engineering Education.

"Engineers solve problems, and I believe student leaders should do the same. I want to become the 1st Year Representative to help build a stronger, more connected batch where every student feels represented, supported, and involved. Together, we can create solutions that benefit everyone. I'm not running because I think I'm the perfect leader. I'm running because I'm willing to listen, learn, and serve. I believe that good leadership begins with understanding people's needs and doing your best to help meet them. I want to be someone our batch can approach with confidence. I want to apply that same mindset to student leadership by listening carefully, identifying concerns, and working with others to find solutions that improve our first-year experience."

Sonny Lyn's passion for leadership has been shaped through her years of service in the student government.
