𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐄𝐒 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

30 parents of Cabantian Elementary School (CES) attended a training on Positive Discipline on Everyday Parenting (PDEP) on August 17, 2026, at the Barangay Cabantian Session Hall.

Facilitated by Annalyn B. Binondo, RSW, Barangay Cabantian Social Worker, the training gave positive impact to the attendees.

"The training reminds us that discipline is not about punishment but about teaching and guiding our children with love, patience, respect and understanding," expressed by Elvee Joy Hordista, CES PTA President.

Headed by Kgwd. Niko Cabiles, he encouraged parents to apply the lessons from the training in their daily parenting, emphasizing that positive discipline begins with understanding and helps build stronger relationships between parents and children.

The school expresses gratitude to the Barangay Cabantian for the provision of the said training, and also to the parents who actively responded to the invitation and participated in the training.

Our sincere gratitude also goes to Councilor Alejandre for generously providing transportation for our learners for the two-day event.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to our PTA for the financial support extended to our campus journalists.

Sa mahigit tatlong taon ninyong paglilingkod bilang District Supervisor ng Buhangin East, taos-puso po kaming nagpapasalamat sa inyong hindi matatawarang dedikasyon, mahusay na pamumuno, at taos-pusong pagmamalasakit sa bawat paaralan, g**o, at mag-aaral sa aming distrito.

Ang inyong karunungan, paggabay, at malasakit ay nagbigay-inspirasyon sa amin upang patuloy na gampanan ang aming tungkulin nang may integridad at kahusayan.

Habang kayo ay magsisimula ng panibagong yugto ng inyong paglilingkod sa Tibungco District, baon ninyo ang aming taos-pusong pasasalamat at taos-pusong panalangin para sa inyong patuloy na tagumpay. Nawa'y maipagpatuloy ninyo roon ang mahusay at makabuluhang pamumuno na aming nasaksihan at naranasan dito sa Buhangin East.

Nawa'y pagpalain pa kayo ng Poong Maykapal sa patuloy ninyong paglilingkod sa edukasyon.

𝑾𝑬𝑳𝑳𝑵𝑬𝑺𝑺 𝑪𝑬𝑳𝑬𝑩𝑹𝑨𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵

𝐂𝐄𝐒 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐍𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡-𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

CES concluded its Nutrition Month 2026 celebration through a series of health and nutrition-related activities on July 24, 2026, carrying the theme, "Sa PPAN: Sama-Sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat!"

The culminating activity opened with a Zumba Craze, where teachers, parents, and learners participated in a community fitness exercise. Participants also competed for the Best Zumba Outfit award.

A Food Display and Booth-Making showcased nutritious and affordable food choices prepared by different grade levels. The exhibits highlighted the importance of balanced diets and healthy eating habits.

Learners also demonstrated their culinary skills during the Cooking Activities, where they prepared nutritious dishes while applying proper food preparation and safety practices.

Meanwhile, selected pupils took part in the Little Chef Competition, allowing young participants to showcase their creativity, confidence, and basic cooking skills.

The activities aimed to promote healthy lifestyles, proper nutrition, and active community participation in support of the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN), encouraging everyone to work together toward achieving adequate nutrition for all.

Congratulations to the athletes, coaches, trainers, parents, school officials, and the entire Cabantian Elementary School community for being crowned the Overall Champion of the Buhangin East District Athletic Meet 2026, held on July 25–26, 2026.

As we celebrate this milestone, our journey continues.

The Unit Meet qualifiers are now intensifying their preparations for the Unit Meet Meet on August 15–16, 2026.

We wish all our qualifiers the very best as they proudly represent Cabantian Elementary School and Buhangin East District.

𝐂𝐄𝐒 𝐃𝐫𝐮𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐲𝐫𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭-𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

𝘋𝘢𝘷𝘢𝘰 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘑𝘶𝘭𝘺 26, 2026- The Cabantian Elementary School Drum and Lyre Corps (CES DLC) made a memorable debut after winning Second Place during the 61st Founding Anniversary of the Davao City BSP Council held at the Barangay Mintal Gymnasium.

Representing Buhangin East District, the five-month-old band competed for the very first time.

The achievement was even more remarkable because the group had only two weeks of focused preparation. Frequent rains disrupted practices, but the 40 young performers stayed committed, working hard to perfect their music and routines.

The band also received strong support from Dr. Judy May Omapoy, School Principal, and Dr. Josephine C. Bargayo, represented by Liosa Acampado, BSP District Coordinator, who personally attended the event to cheer on and encourage the team.

Cabantian Elementary School extends its sincere gratitude to Barangay Cabantian for providing transportation, as well as to Councilor Justol and Councilor Bonguyan, and other generous donors whose support made the band's participation possible.

The school also thanks the parents for their sacrifices, encouragement, and unwavering support throughout the rehearsals and competition.

For a newly formed band, winning Second Place is more than just an award—it is a testament to the dedication, teamwork, and perseverance of the students, coaches, parents, and the entire school community.

This historic debut marks the beginning of what promises to be many more achievements for the CES Drum and Lyre Corps.

Cabantian Elementary School Drum and Lyre Corps would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Barangay Cabantian for the generous donation of the much-needed musical instruments, including base drums with harness, clapper cymbals, and drumsticks.
