On June 3, 2026, the College of Education and Liberal Arts of Davao Central College (DCC-CELA), through the collective efforts of CELA-SEALS and the CELA Community Extension Program, officially conducted its annual Brigada Eskwela initiative in partnership with Gasco & Centina Integrated School, located in Purok 12, Brgy. Bato, Davao City.

Anchored on the Department of Education's 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐄𝐬𝐤𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞, “𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧: 𝐍𝐚𝐠𝐤𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐚 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐚𝐲𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐊𝐚𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧,”this meaningful undertaking highlights the power of unity, volunteerism, and collective action in fostering a learning environment where learners can thrive and succeed.

More than an annual activity, community extension has become a cherished CELA tradition. It reflects the college's enduring commitment to educational service, social responsibility, and nation-building. Through initiatives such as Brigada Eskwela, CELA continues to nurture future educators who not only excel academically but also embody compassion, leadership, and a genuine commitment to serving their communities.

This year, the program proudly recognizes the generosity and dedication of our CELA-SEALS students, who voluntarily donated school supplies and cleaning materials for the benefit of the learners, teachers, and the entire school community of our partner institution. Their contributions, though modest in form, carry a significant impact in helping create a more conducive, safe, and supportive learning environment. These acts of kindness exemplify the values of service, empathy, and shared responsibility that define the CELA community.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our CELA Program Heads, especially 𝐌𝐬. 𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐲 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥 𝐂. 𝐒𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚, 𝐋𝐏𝐓, 𝐌𝐀𝐄𝐝, CELA-BSEd Program Head; 𝐌𝐬. 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐆. 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚, 𝐋𝐏𝐓, CELA-CES Focal Person; and 𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐨 𝐒. 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠, 𝐋𝐏𝐓, CELA Local Council Moderator, together with the 𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐀 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬. Their unwavering support, visionary leadership, and steadfast commitment to community engagement continue to inspire meaningful programs that bridge education and service.

Bilang paggunita sa mahalagang okasyong ito, wala pong Summer Classes at Trabaho sa nasabing araw.

Following the magnitude 7.8 earthquake this morning, the school is conducting safety measures to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone. The school has requested a certification from a Structural Engineer to confirm that our buildings are safe to use.

With this, summer classes will shift to online and offices will remain closed until further notice.

We ask for everyone to remain vigilant, stay calm, and continue praying for the safety of all.

On June 2, 2026, the College of Education proudly recognized its graduates who successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) in September 2025 and March 2026, celebrating a milestone that reflects dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence.

Leading this distinguished group is 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐏. 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐨, who achieved the remarkable distinction of 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝟐, bringing honor not only to the College but to the entire Davao Central College community.

The College likewise commends its school-level topnotchers and all successful examinees whose achievements embody the values of excellence, integrity, and service. Their success stands as a testament to the enduring commitment of the College of Education to developing competent, ethical, and transformative educators.
