Peter asked, “How many times must I forgive?”
Jesus invites him to look beyond the number—to the condition of his heart.

What am I being invited to surrender so that my heart can become freer?

𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐎𝐑 𝐑𝐄𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓 𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝐈𝐒 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄! 🌿

As we begin another season of retreats, we look forward to creating spaces where our students can pause, reflect, reconnect, and encounter God in the midst of their busy academic journey.

But meaningful formation also means making sure that our students feel safe, cared for, and well-accompanied throughout the experience.

As part of our preparation, the Campus Ministry Office, together with our partner offices and retreat personnel, has strengthened our security and safety protocols for every overnight retreat.

🔐 𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬
☑Proper checking and inspection of bags and belongings
☑Appropriate safety checks before departure
☑Orientation and reminders inside the bus before travel
☑Conduct of a retreat houses risk and safety checklist
☑Coordination and regular communication with retreat house personnel and university security

We are also grateful to the Office of the Vice President for Administration Sir B**g Eliab for lending Point-of-Contact (POC) radios deployed in each retreat house. These allow our retreat teams to communicate more quickly and maintain direct contact with University Security and hotline services whenever necessary.

Our coordination meetings with our VP for Administration (OVPA), Facility Management Office (FMO), Community Center of the First Companion (CCFC), Martin Hall Facilities and Events Management Office, and the Council of Class Presidents are also part of our continuing effort to ensure that everyone is properly informed, prepared, and attentive to the welfare of our students.

Because for us, student formation and student welfare go hand in hand.

We want our students—and their families—to know that every retreat or recollection is prepared not only with prayer and formation in mind, but also with care, responsibility, and safety.

May this retreat season be a time to slow down, listen deeply, discover God’s presence, and grow in the direction of a life lived with purpose.

We’ll take the journey together. 💙
