July 05 to 12 (2026) | Officially First Week As A Third Year Student Nurse
I was fortunate, nervous, and grateful having to experienced and passed the OR Simulation RD (Operating Room Return Demonstration) on this week. On the very first day, we had our Lecture Demonstration by amazing Clinical Instructor, Sir was patient and very student centered the whole time. Guiding us and giving his personal experiences in OR. I am amazed and nervous since I am not fond with anything related with surgery.
My monday and tuesday nights was overwhelming as I prepare myself in my performance in RD. Prep the uniforms, supplies and things needed, and myself. I chosen to sleep as early as I could before 8 pm and woke up around 2 am to start reviewing and practice using my jackets. I chosen to prioritize my health and mind by not skipping meals and calming my thoughts. In God’s will I passed the RD in OR, all the worries and stress I felt (dispears) and I spent the wednesday editing videos and pictures, napping and talk with my great friends/ classmates (there 4 of them now).
The lecture days, thu & fri, were interesting and joyful one. I learned so many things as well. We got our Adviser in first year second semester back. One of the reasons, I worked so hard in second year is to get to be under her advisory again but as a third year student this time. She lifted my spirit that made me decide to stay in nursing and gave so much motivation that carried me throughout these past two years and again this semester. I like to think that its God’s plan that I get to meet her in my nursing journey.
Saturday research lecture was interesting becausee of the great teaching style our teacher has. Overall, I believe research is the hardest for me as it is not part of my comfort zone, especially the perfect grammar part. But all of these factors can be learn and that’s what I plan to do.
Before all of these, I spent an hour in San Pedro Catheral, as I always does every first sunday of the month & before the start of the school year. I know it will be a rough journey this time and I’ll be pushing 2x effort so I prayed kindness and understanding towards my parents, all my love ones, and towards myself 🌹
