Love was truly in the air during our Valentine’s Day celebration! The campus was filled with excitement, laughter, and heart-fluttering reactions that made the day unforgettable. From friends teasing each other to silent crushes finally getting noticed, every corner had its own little story. It wasn’t just an ordinary school day — it became a celebration of connection, courage, and genuine happiness shared by everyone.

The event featured activities that brought color and kilig to the entire campus.
🎬 The Movie Marathon allowed students to relax and enjoy heartwarming films with friends and special someone.
💍 The Marriage Booth gave pairs a chance to exchange playful vows and capture cute memories as “married for a day.”
🎧 Through the Listening to Requested Music, love songs echoed around the school, carrying sweet and sometimes mysterious dedications.
🚔 As for the Jail Booth — plot twist: walay nasulod sa jail booth, gikapoy bayag buhat ang boy scout ato 😂 (char lang!). No one got “arrested,” but it surely added humor to the celebration.
🪢 The Love Knot paired students unexpectedly, turning smiles into blushes, laughter into shyness, and sometimes playful anger in just a few seconds.
🧶Adding more color to the event was the coloured yarn activity, where students picked yarn colors that represented their relationship status or feelings — creating a vibrant display around the campus and making it easier to spot who was single, taken, or “it’s complicated.”

In the end, Valentine’s Day reminded us that love comes in many forms — romantic, friendly, surprising, and even a little chaotic.

💕 More than the activities, it was the memories, emotions, and shared laughter that made the celebration truly special. A day filled with kilig, fun, and unforgettable moments that will surely be talked about long after Valentine’s is over. ✨

On February 16, 2026, at Matina Biao National High School, the SSLG community expressed gratitude to the outgoing SSLG 2025–2026 officers for their responsible service, highlighted by a message from the SSLG President. The program continued with the oath-taking of the newly elected SSLG 2026–2027 officers, followed by an inspiring message from their new SSLG President.

SSLG Adviser Ma’am Ofelia Reloj delivered a message recognizing the dedication of the outgoing officers and encouraging the incoming leaders to serve with commitment and integrity. The ceremony marked a smooth transition of leadership and strengthened the spirit of responsibility and unity among student leaders.

SSLG Election Tally Conducted for School Year 2026–2027

At Matina Biao National High School, the SSLG election tally for School Year 2026–2027 was completed on February 13, 2026. The vote counting involved candidates from the L.E.A.D and K.I.K.A.Y party lists and was conducted in an organized and transparent manner.

Election officers carefully recorded and verified ballots to ensure accuracy and fairness throughout the process. The results will guide the formation of the next SSLG leadership, which will represent and serve the student body during the upcoming school year.
