June 8, 2026
Sulop Senior High School officially welcomed School Year 2026โ2027 on June 8, 2026 through its Oplan Balik Eskwela Opening Program. The day started with the Flag Raising Ceremony at 6:45 AM, followed by the energetic Galaw Pilipinas Dance Exercise, setting a positive and enthusiastic atmosphere for the beginning of another academic year.
As part of the program, awards were given to the WATCH Organization Early Bird Student and Faculty Member, recognizing punctuality and commitment. The learners were also formally introduced to the dedicated faculty and staff of Sulop Senior High School who will guide them throughout their senior high school journey.
In his welcome message, School Principal IV Jerome G. Samson reminded the learners that they are in school because of their dreams. He encouraged everyone to build meaningful relationships with their teachers and fellow learners, remain focused on their goals, and strive for academic excellence.
He further emphasized the importance of ๐ฟ๐๐ฉ๐๐ง๐ข๐๐ฃ๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ, ๐ฟ๐๐จ๐๐๐ฅ๐ก๐๐ฃ๐, and ๐๐๐จ๐ฅ๐๐๐ฉ, stressing that these values will help learners successfully complete Senior High School. What SCOUTINGโ๏ธ can offer?
1. Master Practical Life Skills ๐
While school teaches you academics, Scouting teaches you how to survive and thrive in everyday life. You will gain hands-on knowledge in:
โ๏ธFirst Aid & Safety: Knowing exactly what to do in a medical emergency.
๐ชขSurvival Skills: Navigation (reading maps and compasses), outdoor cooking, and knot-tying.
๐ฐPersonal Finance: Learning how to budget and manage resources through merit badges and fundraising.
2. Rapid Leadership Development๐
Scouting doesn't just talk about leadership; it puts you in charge. Through the "Patrol System," students take turns leading their peers, planning trips, delegating tasks, and resolving conflicts. You learn how to guide a team before you even graduate high school.
3. Unshakeable Confidence and "Grit"๐
Scouting pushes you out of your comfort zone in a safe, supportive environment. Whether you are conquering a fear of heights on a climbing wall or sticking it out through a rainy camping trip, you build resilience. You learn that failure is just a step toward success, which builds deep self-belief.
4. A Standout Resume for College and Careers
Admissions officers and employers look for Scouting on a resume. Achieving higher ranks (like Eagle Scout or Senior Scout advancements) proves to the world that you possess:
โ
High moral character and discipline.
โ
A strong work ethic.
โ
Proven commitment to community service.
5. Genuine, Lifelong Friendships ๐ซถ
In a world dominated by social media, Scouting offers real, deep human connection. The bonds formed while sharing a campfire, conquering a difficult hike, or laughing through a rainy afternoon create friendships that often last a lifetime.
How to join:

Gentle Reminder ๐ธ
Itโs okay to feel shaken or overwhelmed right now. What youโre feeling is a natural response to something frightening. Take things slowly, breathe, stay in a safe place, and reach out to someone you trust. You donโt have to go through this alone. Be kind to yourself as you heal and regain your calm, one moment at a time.
Quick Calming Techniques:
๐ฑBreathe slowly- Inhale for 4 seconds,
hold for 4, exhale for 6
๐ฑGround yourself- Name 5 things you can see, 4 you can feel, 3 you can hear
๐ฑRelax your body- Loosen your shoulders, unclench your hands, steady your posture
๐ฑStay connected- Talk to a trusted friend, teacher, or responder
๐ฑFocus on the present- Remind yourself:
โI am safe right now.โ
Let us follow instructions, stay together, and help one another to ensure everyoneโs safety
โCalm minds create safe actions.โ
