A destructive magnitude 7.8 earthquake recently shook Southern Mindanao last June 8, leaving a trail of destruction across General Santos City, Sarangani, Davao, and nearby provinces.

In the face of this disaster, we collectively take action. We invite everyone to take part in our donation drive to extend assistance to our fellow affected Mindanaoans as they rebuild and recover from this tragedy.

ALERT | On May 27, 2026, the PNP Cateel Police Station leveled baseless and dangerous accusations against student leaders and alumni of the University of the Philippines Mindanao, including the incumbent University Student Council Chairperson, Lara Felescoso.

The College of Science and Mathematics Student Council stands in firm solidarity with our leaders and alumni. We vehemently condemn these vicious attacks against student leaders and activists, which constitute a blatant violation of human rights and the freedom of expression. This pattern of intimidation is undeniable evidence of systemic political repression, a disregard for democratic processes, and the weaponization of state resources. The PNP must be held accountable for these actions, which actively endanger the lives of students and youth activists, placing them at grave risk of further harassment and state-sponsored violence.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | A symposium on the ALARM Website to be delivered by the University Librarian will be held on May 13 at the Lemito Hall from 1-4pm.

The session will cover a 𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦’𝐬 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬, especially maximizing the academic resources available for research, papers, and thesis.

Today marks the end of the CSM Dean Selection process but for the students, this is the beginning of sustained vigilance and collective action.

The 6-Point Student Demands (6-PSD) are not arbitrary proposals. They are grounded in the lived experiences, urgent needs, and collective struggles of the student body. Crafted through consultations and built from a bottom-up, student-driven process, these demands represent what the students rightfully deserve.
These must not remain as mere talking points or consultation outputs. We demand concrete, immediate, and measurable action from the incoming administration.

For the next three years, the students will stand firm and organized in advancing these demands.
