ADVISORY | 1st National Convention of Shari’ah Counselors Rescheduled

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) informs all Convention partners, Shari’ah Counselors, and stakeholders that the 1st National Convention of Shari’ah Counselors, originally scheduled on 23–25 September 2026 at Mindanao State University (MSU) Marawi, has been rescheduled.

The new schedule will be announced once it has been finalized.

In the meantime, the Technical Working Group on the Shari’ah Secretariat will continue its work on the integration of Shari’ah Counselors within the IBP, the proposed revisions to the Rules of Procedure in Shari’ah Courts, and the development of a possible Code of Ethics for Shari’ah Counselors. These important initiatives are intended to be presented during the Convention.

We appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding, and continued support.

Per advisory from the Office of Senior Associate Justice Marvic MVF Leonen through the TWG on Shari’ah Secretariat.
