A client reached out to me on OnlineJobs and our conversation was interesting.

We jumped on a discovery call to see if there was a fit.

What stood out wasn't that she was looking for a VA, freelancer, or appointment setter.

She said she was looking for a β€œPARTNER”.

Someone who understands how to help grow a business from $0 to $100,000+, not just send messages or book meetings.

During the call, she also mentioned that before reaching out, she spent time going through my portfolio, case studies, screenshots, and results.

That reminded me of something important:

People don't hire you because of your service.
They hire you because they believe you can help solve a problem they're struggling with.

I've just sent over my proposal and now I'm waiting for her feedback by EOD.

Whatever happens next, I'll keep you guys posted. 🀞

HARD TRUTH

Your skills don't matter if nobody knows you exist.

How can someone trust you online?
Think about it.

If a stranger messaged you and asked for money...
Would you trust them immediately?

Of course not.

Trust is earned.

Especially online.

So if you're a freelancer, VA, coach, consultant, or agency owner...

Here's how you build trust:

βœ… Have a professional profile photo
βœ… Complete your LinkedIn profile
βœ… Post content consistently
βœ… Show testimonials
βœ… Share case studies and results
βœ… Have recommendations from previous clients
βœ… Be active in your niche
βœ… Communicate professionally
βœ… Show your face
βœ… Keep your promises

Here's the reality:

People don't buy services.
People buy confidence.
People buy certainty.
People buy trust.

The reason some freelancers charge $5/hour and others charge $50/hour isn't always skill.

It's credibility.

Because before clients hire you...
They ask themselves one question:

"Can I trust this person?"

And your online presence should answer that question before they even book a call.

Most freelancers never fail because of a lack of skills.

They fail because nobody told them what they're actually signing up for.

You learned Canva.
You learned Video Editing.
You learned Lead Generation.
You learned Social Media.

But then reality hits...

"No replies."
"No interviews."
"No clients."

Nakaka-frustrate kasi ang akala mo, once you learn a skill, automatic may income na.

The image below shows what really happens behind the scenes.

Freelancing isn't just about delivering the work.

You also need to attract opportunities, build relationships, earn trust, retain clients, and keep the business running.

That's why two freelancers with the same skill can have completely different incomes.

One is focused on tasks.

The other is focused on growth.

The sooner you understand this, the sooner you'll stop acting like someone looking for work and start acting like someone building a business.

Lesson for today:

Clients don't hire the best applicant. They hire the one they trust most.

Nakakatakot isipin na mas maraming Pilipino ang may gambling account kaysa investment account.

Eto ang reality sa Pinas.

May sampu-sampung milyong users ang gambling platforms, pero wala pang 3 milyong stock market investors.

Kaya hindi nakakapagtaka kung bakit maraming:
❌ Isang kahig, isang tuka
❌ Walang emergency fund

Because one day, you'll either look back and say:

"Ang tagal ko nang nag-iinvest."

or

"Sayang, sana noon pa ako nagsimula."

Lesson for today:

A strong LinkedIn profile works while you're sleeping. πŸ˜‰
