Today, we joyfully celebrate the Solemnity of the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus and the inspiration behind the Jesuit tradition of faith, excellence, and service.
As members of the Ateneo community, may we be inspired by St. Ignatius' unwavering commitment to God, his spirit of discernment, and his call to become men and women for and with others. May his life remind us to seek God's greater glory in all that we do and to serve with humility, generosity, and love.
Let us pray together the Prayer for Generosity:
Dearest Lord, teach me to be generous.
Teach me to serve You as You deserve;
to give and not to count the cost;
to fight and not to heed the wounds;
to toil and not to seek for rest;
to labor and not to ask for reward,
save that of knowing that I am doing Your will.
Amen.
St. Ignatius of Loyola, pray for us.
Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam.
